You’ll be driven around the Troodos mountain villages to visit 4 carefully selected wineries. Each boutique winery you'll visit is family-owned and you'll have the chance to meet the individuals behind the wine-making and have all your questions answered on this brilliant small group tour. You'll tour the premises of at least two of the wineries to learn about the process and history of wine. Through each tasting session you'll discover the indigenous grape varieties of the island with a selection of whites, rosés reds and the celebrated sweet wine Commandaria. While driving through the Troodos hills we'll also visit the traditional village of Omodos to check out an old wine press, visit a historical monastery and enjoy a traditional products tasting. Visit the central slopes of the Troodos mountains, which is a must on any visit to Cyprus. The tour takes us off the beaten track with our 4x4 Land Rover defenders. Stops are made in quaint picturesque rural villages to meet the locals and get to know more about Cyprus and it's culture, history and traditions. Breath taking mountain peaks are encountered throughout the duration of the day, cascading waterfalls, where weather permitting, guest can enjoy a refreshing splash in the crystal clear waters, fresh water lakes in the middle of nowhere. We stop at a family restaurant where you can enjoy a traditional Cypriot meze, in a beautiful mountain village. Last but not least, no day would be complete without a visit to a local winery. You'll be picked up from a location of your choice taken into the Troodos mountain villages for this 5hr half-day tour.
