It takes half an hour to get to the water and the same or longer back in the heat, but it is worth every step! Amazing experience, postcard views and clear spring water to swim in.

We drove here and paid just a few Euros to park the car for half a day just on the beach. This price included access to a shower (we couldn't see a public one).
The beach has spectacular views and was very peaceful (we were there on a weekday).
A little bit tricky to walk into the water due to the rocks but it is possible, and really worthwhile given the abundance of fish to see. Water is clean and transparent.
Recommend taking water or food as there aren't many places to buy this on the beach.

Bar and restaurant on the beach on the east coast of Sicily, next to Noto. Beach services with sunchairs, showers. You'll find a private place to drink and to eat grilled fishes at lunch and night, helpful and friendship persons, a really good choice to relax you during your trip in Sicily. We are open all nights. DINNER ON THE BEACH. Seafood freshed at lunch and dinner on the BBQ.
Quiet (even in August!), clear water, friendly owners who let us in even though we were a couple of euros short of the umbrella hire fee.. You could even grab a drink or food in the bar/cafe if you have some change! Would definitely go back if we had longer in Sicily!
Make sure you have enough cash on you before going!!

While the old Tonnara is basically in ruins and can't be visited, the immediate area has recently seen an increase in nightlife, since the opening of new pubs and bars with live music... There's also a pretty good fish restaurant and a pizzeria.
Might be a good idea to close it to car traffic, though the only existing road connects some households to the city so it's not a viable option at the moment...
