1 hour Daintree River wildlife and crocodile cruise on the only solar electric boat on the Daintree river. The boat it is nice and quiet and there are no petrol fumes or exhaust , it is also good for getting close to the wildlife without disturbing it. We aim to treat this fragile ecosystem with respect and have minimal impact, our boat does not create a wake so we do not erode the mangroves. We are the only boat with "Croc Cam"; a digital video with a very good zoom for showing hard to see animals on a big screen. Daintree Boatman Nature Tours provides small-group, wildlife cruises for close views of highly sought-after birds, snakes and crocodiles on the mighty Daintree River. Two hour cruises ($65 adult, $40 child) are provided at dawn and dusk whilst birds are at their most active and the river is at its most scenic. Cruises cater for a maximum of just 10 passengers and are customised to the interests of the passengers. The boat used is a unique 'hybrid' vessel utilising both a regular outboard and a commercial-quality electric motor which enables less disturbance of wildlife and better wildlife viewing. Cruises depart from the Daintree Village boat ramp. Private cruises are available for those with a specific interest such as wildlife photography.

Whale Shark and Eco Snorkeling Tours. From April - July join us onboard the Magellan for a full day of snorkelling over coral reefs and swimming with the Majestic Whale shark, the King of the Sea. In season we may even be lucky enough to see Manta Rays, Humpback Whales, Turtles and rays and much more. From August we offer a Whale shark / Humpback Whale Eco Tour. Again a full day packed with adventure as we explore the Ningaloo Reef and if conditions are safe to do so we'll even get into the water to swim with Humpback Whales.
