Every year thousands of hipsters, groupies, and die-hard fans flock to Austin for the annual South by Southwest festival, which has catapulted the Texas city up the must-visit charts for many travelers. The sandstone Capitol building is symbolic of the Lone Star State’s "bigger is better" mentality, featuring a gorgeous whispering gallery rotunda and 22 acres of grounds. Cool off with a dip in Barton Springs, a huge natural limestone pool that’s fed by underground sources.

First visit to Texas Sake Company, a fun place to try the Sake flights and learn about the Sake making process. Our group of four shared two different Sake flights: regular Sake (4 different samples) and “bubbly” Sake (3 different samples). Definitely worth a visit. Plan to go somewhere else for your meal (before or after your visit) as no substantial food service is available...just enjoy the Sake.

Still Austin Whiskey Co. is a homegrown grain-to-glass distillery in the heart of Austin, and we use only Texas-grown grains. Every step of our process is performed with a ridiculous level of care and attention, which you can taste in our spirits. Seriously. We are a ragtag collection of whiskey obsessives, gin enthusiasts, sustainability wonks, and good friends. We nerd out about the theory of élevage and heirloom grain varieties. But, you know, in a cool way.
The very best Urban Austin Distillery has a new Straight Bourbon whiskey that is outstanding. Their facility and Distillery includes a beautiful bar Tasting Room that can make amazing craft cocktails. They have an outdoor area that has live music and events that you can socially distance at. They have a very clean and safe environment where you feel safe and are able to have a great time. They also have tours at The Distillery so check out their website. Right now they are also shipping so order some up and get it sent right to your home.

Booked in for a whiskey tasting experience one friday afternoon whilst visiting Austin. Amazing experience! slightly expensive but for what we were trying it was totally worth it. Stopped by the back deck afterwards and had a drink with some 'locals'. Definitely worth the visit
Tweaked Distilling is a maker of Artisan Spirits, located at the gateway to the Texas Hill Country. Stop by to enjoy a tour, tasting or handmade cocktail
