MacKenzie-Childs was born of our love of home and our commitment to fresh, innovative design. Founded in 1983, our humble beginnings started in the basement of Wallcourt Hall, a building built in 1909 as a dormitory for an all-girls prep school. Several years later, we moved to our present-day headquarters just up the road. On a tranquil Victorian farm overlooking Cayuga Lake, we produce world-renowned home furnishings. Our designers and artisans have created beautiful products that add joy and grace to homes throughout the world. Colorful, handmade ceramics, enamelware, glassware, furniture, and home accessories define our collection.
Went to Aurora specifically to visit this studio. I wasn't familiar with this designer so had no idea what to expect. WOW!! It was like being pulled into a fairy tale of Alice in Wonderland imagery. Highly recommend visiting all the areas. The grounds, the farmhouse, and the studio were brilliantly laid out and decorated. I would love to live here or at least decorate my whole house with these wonderfully whimsical designs.

Eight people arranged this trip, all couples. Having done wine tours before (driven, designated driver, van etc) we decided a boat tour would be idea. First let me say the day was awesome weather wise and that helps. But we could see that the boat was well protected if NOT good weather. It was simply a blast! We visited 3 wineries and had lunch at one. The captain was fun and entertaining with stories and information. The boat tour was not only fun the wineries where a blast and we loved the views, walks to/from AND sometimes van or open "Kubuka" rides(did I spell right?) trips to the wineries from the boat. Over all very highly recommended.....YOU WILL LOVE IT!

Heart & Hands Wine Company is located in a serene setting overlooking the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake. We are committed to producing cool-climate wines which authentically express the unique character of the Finger Lakes. Our production is quite small - currently under 1500 cases, which allows for an intense focus on quality. Our intent is to produce food-friendly wines, and we offer several wines crafted from Pinot Noir and Riesling grapes for your enjoyment.
We chose to visit Heart & Hands during our recent Finger Lakes trip because my husband saw a write-up in a national publication. The small tasting room was busy but we were able to jump right in and were treated to a very knowledgable "tour" of four wines. We had a nice chat with the staff and ended up taking home a few bottles as well. I would make a point of returning as we have been enjoying the wine and very much enjoyed our visit!

See the world’s largest herd of white, white-tailed deer, other wildlife, and the relics of 60 years of secret weapons storage. Visit one of the 519 earth-covered concrete igloos that stored everything from pistol cartridges to nuclear warheads. Our 25-passenger, heated and air-conditioned tour buses give our visitors a comfortable seat for a 90-minute, narrated trip behind the fences of the former Seneca Army Depot.
My Son & I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon at White Deer Tours. We were able to see both white and brown deer, as well as learn about the Seneca Army Depot history. Wild turkeys, bald eagles, and a beaver dam were also observed. Our tour...MoreGlad you enjoyed the tour. Thanks for a great review!

We loved Muranda Cheese because they let you taste over a dozen cheeses and we all liked something different, proving that tastes are very subjective and there will always be something to somebody's liking. The woman was knowledgeable and friendly and cheeses were affordable. You can also look in the barn window and see the cows. Great stop!

While visiting friends who wanted to do wine tasting we stopped at Treleaven. They had attended concerts here but this visit was on a weekday in the mid-afternoon. I elected to do the beer tasting and was not disappointed at all. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and beers. The tasting room is open and airy. I don't have any experience with their concert series but the grounds looked like they could comfortably hold plenty of people enjoying their beverages.

When we visited the tasting room was just a bit busy. Fortunately the 2 servers were able to keep up and provide some information on the wines we were sampling. The grounds are beautiful with great views of Cayuga Lake. We only sampled the red wines so we'll have to try the whites on the next visit.

A combination of winery and restaurant located on the slopes of Cayuga Lake; the location plays a vital role in creating the best micro-climate for the Knapp vineyards. Knapp produces over thirty types of wine including cordials and aperitifs. Enjoy outstanding Rieslings, Cabernet Francs, Chardonnays and much more. Wines made to suit a variety of palates. The vineyard restaurant, which is open from April through October, opens to a vineyard patio that faces west with a spectacular view of our Saperavi vines. Chef creates food using as many local products to ensure a true Finger Lakes wine country experience.
The regular lunch fare is complemented by some unusual appetizers, like the country pate (ham, pork, pickled onions, jam, olives, bread rounds). The butternut squash soup was scrumptious! And excellent vanilla bean cheesecake.
We sat outdoors on the patio and enjoyed the sunshine and cool breeze under the grape arbor.

At the recommendation of a tour guide, we went to the Sheldrake Point Winery. Parking is convenient and the tasting room is quite large. The wine consultant was very knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were generally good. I was surprised by the dry Rose and enjoyed the reserve Meritage.
