What to do and see in Aurora, Colorado (CO): The Best Things to do Good for Big Groups

May 14, 2022 Russell Mellin

Although its highly residential quality and proximity to Denver make Aurora seem like simply a suburb of the larger metropolis, this bustling city has a flavor all its own. With seven golf courses, a reservoir beach, hiking trails and a multi-use Sports Park, the city is a major hub of athletics and hometown to numerous pro football, basketball, hockey and soccer players and coaches. Aurora's emerging arts scene brings forth vibrant theater and visual arts to liven up the city.

Jump on the bike trail right across from the mall and enjoy riding the beautiful trails to the Cherry Creek Reservoir, Downtown Denver or to Old Town Parker. You will be almost exclusively on trails going under almost all streets. Ride our super comfy, beach cruiser style electric bikes where you choose your level of exercise. You are in total control, set your assistance to a little help or a lot of help. The assistance will even everyone out so the super athlete in the group can get a great workout while others can enjoy an easier ride and not worry about keeping up or going to far. Love this place the best because it is clean and well organized. The grilling stations are in a designated spot so people can’t ruin your day at the beach by firing up the grill right next to you on the sand. Very clean water. It’s my happy place!

Vintage Theater

Vintage Theatre Productions proudly presents comedy classics and daring dramatic theater pieces that challenge, entertain, and grow both our audience and artistic family alike.

We saw Ring of Fire in July 2017 at the Vintage Theater. We were mesmerized! The theater only seats 69 so the experience is very intimate. The production was professional and the singers - all of them - were incredibly talented. They had fun, the audience had fun, and we can highly recommend the experience. The theater sells snacks and alcohol and you can bring those purchased items into the theater area. There is free parking on the side. Seating is first-come, first-served and opens 30 minutes before the production begins. If your group is large you many be able to get assigned seats together. Often tickets sell out in advance so I'd advise purchasing them online at least a week before to avoid disappointment.

If you enjoy tasty beer, a great atmosphere, and a friendly staff make sure to visit Launch Pad. Brian and his brother brew outstanding variations with new offerings monthly. I highly recommend the stout offerings, definitely among the best I have tried. Do not miss a visit to Launch Pad, an added bonus is this is a veteran owned and run business. Come out and support small veteran owned business.
