Gilded Lily Walking Tours of Augusta

Experience over 200 years of history as you explore the charming rivertown of Augusta, Kentucky during this fun and (occasionally) factual walking tour. Promenade along the banks of the mighty Ohio River personally escorted by your hostess, Miss Lily, a Southern gentlewoman of the late 1860s. You will be entertained with titillating tales, fascinating folklore, and perhaps a ghost story or two.

Rosemary Clooney House

Our tour guide was excellent with stories about Rosemary Clooney and her family. The home is small but filled with memorabilia and has a lovely view of the river. Unfortunately the home often loans its White Christmas costumes etc out at Christmas time, so we missed seeing that. Instead they had Miss America costumes and exhibit.

Sunday was another trip to Augusta, KY and a stop by Baker-Bird Winery. From the minute you step out of your vehicle, you are met and welcomed. We felt safe and the venue is very clean and sanitized. Beckie was our tour guide and she did an amazing job, thoughtful and knows the history very well.
