The Bridgeway Cinema

My friend and I were here for a movie whilst in Auckland for a girls weekend. We were actually late for the movie we wanted to see, thanks to nav man or similar, however the staff were really good about, and let us in, we had a coupon that included a ice cream, which we asked to collect later, which didn't seem a problem. This is a very lovely cinema, theatres are a good size, chairs comfy and temperature comfortable, the restrooms are nice too and there is a lovely cafe right next door. Anyone lucky enough to have this as their local cinema are very lucky.

The Civic-Auckland Live

The Civic, one of the few remaining Atmospheric Theatres in the world, was built in 1929. The first purpose-built cinema of this type in the country, The Civic has become a much-loved Auckland landmark and entertainment venue.

Have seen a couple of shows here recently with War Horse only a few days ago. Love this theatre! Wonderful atmosphere, acoustics and AMAZING décor, take a look at the ceiling, comfortable seats and PLENTY of leg room, which is a must for my partner. Just love this place, will be keeping an eye out for future shows.

Went to see 1984 production. The theatre is intimate and it easy to engage with what is going on stage. Lots of eateries around for pre or post dinner meals and drinks.

SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium

Sea Life Kelly Tarlton’s Aquarium is New Zealand’s most famous aquarium! It is home to New Zealand's only sub-Antarctic penguins and offers a myriad of opportunities to get up close and personal with incredible marine life from the Pacific and Southern oceans. For a truly incredible experience, take the plunge on an Animal Adventure jump into the shark tank and go snorkeling with 14 massive sharks or jump on the ice and get up close and personal with the King and Gentoo penguins!

I was in Auckland with my 4 year old son and Mother. This was one of our stops on our must-see list. We used the hop on/off bus to get here, and were also able to purchase our ticket at one of the bus kiosks. It was very convenient to have the ticket voucher ready upon our arrival. There is also a cool (Shark) shuttle that picks up/drops off from the Queen's Wharf. All three of us really enjoyed the aquarium, we loved seeing the King penguins, the automatic walk way beneath the sea life, and we loved the kids' area where we were able to color fishes, put it in a scanner and then see the fish "come to life" digitally. My son absolutely loved it!
