Scenic park great for camping, hiking, swimming and fishing.
Every year we rent a pavilion for our annual Easter picnic. The pavilion has running water and electric it's always clean and ready when we arrive. The pavilion is located close to the lake so the guys can fish and the kids can play. Everyone has a great time.

Courthouse on the Square image by Patricia Tieszen. The Denton County Courthouse-on the Square Museum is a unique repository of exhibits, special collections, and historical documents that provide visitors with an overview of the communities and residents which have contributed to the county's rich heritage. Whether you are an out-of-town visitor or a life-long resident, you will be both educated and entertained as you immerse yourself in Denton County's days gone by.
This Building is really in the centre of Denton, surrounded by shops. Everyone likes to come here, doing something on the yard such as picnic or yoga, or just sitting and watching people. Parking around the square is free after 06.00 pm. We didn't go to see the museum as it was closed by the time we're there. The building self is a beauty.

The beach is great place to relax and dip in the lake. There's fire pits and volleyball courts, which makes great people watching. There's also nice hiking trails in the northern part of the park, great place for an evening stroll.

So this wasn't quite the same experience as a zoo, but the price was fairly expensive. 12$ per person, with limited amounts to look at. However the two rescue bears are magnificent and beautiful and for a couple is animal lovers and bear lovers it was worth it. Don't go without eating at the restaurant it was spectacular!

Built in 1939, the Little Chapel has been named one of Texas’ 20 most outstanding architectural achievements; it was designed by the late O’Neil Ford. TWU art students designed the stained glass windows which depict the theme "Woman Ministering to Human Needs".
I got married in this chapel in 1993 - and it is one of the most beautiful and quaint chapels around, located on the Texas Women's University campus. Beautiful stained glass windows with details of the Proverbs 31 woman, it's the perfect place for a SMALL wedding. We did just that, and had a big reception nearby at Hubbard Hall.

My boys took a week of 3 hour wake boarding lessons here at the park. The boys were both up and wake boarding within a few days and couldn't wait to go back. They are both 14 years old. There were boys and girls much younger in the class did well also.
The restaurant next-door is a great place to wait. They made it very comfortable especially in the heat, to wait through the kids lessons. It will be wonderful once the construction on El Dorado is finished.

The National Videogame Museum is the country's first dedicated videogame museum, established to document, preserve and exhibit our industry's rich history. This museum has 20 interactive exhibits on display including an 80s-themed arcade, gaming stations, an 80s room and more.
Walk thru the history of video games with the original cartons, displays and games. The best part of the NVM is the arcade, where you can play the games using tokens (the entrance fee I paid was $12, which includes a handful of tokens, and you can purchase more from a vending machine). Good air conditioning. Free parking.
Note the NVM is set back from the street (North Dallas Parkway) and I drove past it the first time. The NVM is in a huge group of buildings with some other Frisco cultural stuff along with at least one private business. The NVM is off the Tollway/Parkway near Cotton Gin Road on the east side.

Epoch Quest is a next level escape room located north of the DFW metroplex. Great for family outings, date night and corporate team-building, Epoch Quest offers one-of-a-kind puzzles, adrenaline-pumping action and tons of eye candy for players of all ages. Come one, come all and be ready to have a good time!
This was a good time. The staff was friendly and prompt. The adventure was enjoyable. At the end, the staff member gave us a keepsake card with funny things we had said during the challenge.

We are a neighborhood craft beer bar and growler fill station. We specialize in promoting small and independent breweries, many from Texas. However, with our 30 taps and specialty bottles we also carry great beers from around the country. We do not serve food, besides our complimentary peanuts and selection of 100% Angus beer jerky. however we have menus from many of the local restaurants within w
I absolutely love these tap houses that are springing up everywhere. So far they all have the same look and feel. This one is no different, and that is a good thing. The Crafthouse is a small room in a strip mall. There are a couple of seats outside, but the best part is inside.
The Crafthouse serves craft beers only. You will not find any macro beers (bud, coors, miller) or specialty beers (Dos XX, Heineken, Guinness). Instead, you will find 30 generic taps with craft beers from around the country with a heavy emphasis on North & Central Texas. Large LCD screens hang on the wall by the entrance. The taps are labeled 1 through 30. Different craft beers are cycled through the taps. Whatever is currently tapped will display the beer name, maker, ABU, ABV and amount left in the tap. The pricing is by sample, glass, small growler, or large growler. One of the coolest feature are the color of the size offerings. They reflect the color of the beer. Now you can visually see amber, stout, lager and so on.
The best way to enjoy this place is sampling the beers. Get a flight of four different types. They will number the glasses which allows you to keep referring to the board even while you are seated and enjoying yourself. Many people just come and grab a glass and hang out.
The atmosphere here is great. It's small with room for maybe 25-30 people. They play music in the background, but everyone is enjoying themselves. The people pouring drinks are interactive and are willing to help with your selections. They have board games to play. They encourage you to bring food from outside. When you're done refill or buy a growler to take your favorite beer home. Awesome place.

I have traveled to the Netherlands and have seen the tulip fields there. Never thought that I would see these beautiful flowers in Texas. There is an admission fee and a charge for picking the flowers. One warning, if you pull up the bulb with the flower, will be charged quite a bit more.
Excellent photo opportunities.
