I like it a lot this river because you can rest with your family or you can do rafting with friends or just walk along the river. Is very nice. is a place anyone should go when you go to La Ceiba and there are very good hotels nearby.

Also known as Cayos Cochinos Divers a remote scuba diving and snorkeling safari service running trips from La Ceiba and Sambo Creek to the Cayos Cochinos Marine Park (a group of two small islands and 13 small coral keys, population 450, exclusive pristine inexpensive diving). We offers day trips and multi-day packages for snorkelers, divers, and explorers. We describe ourselves as a scuba Safari outpost offering three different types of lodgings suited to individual tastes. A two bedroom beach houses on a secluded beach with full electric, running hot water, canoes, hamacas, sleeps 6 - 8 people and other amenities. Cabins, hotel rooms and dorm style lodgings in the two Garifuna villages. We cater to the type of diver you are and your specific needs at lodgings and food (we bring food from the coast so we can offer a more diverse menu). We also offer PADI dive courses. Packages include transport to Cayos Cochinos , dive gear, lodging and meals.

This was a daytrip we went out in a private boat and snorkled in two locations then went to the inhabited island where we were greeted with quiet attentive Gafaren (may be spelled wrong) people who have been there for many years and still rely on the land to rpvide much of what they need. We had a delicious lunch of whole snapper, beans and rice and plantains. If you go take cookies or candies to share with the children they absolutley love it and are so greatful.

Pico Bonito Park is the largest and most bio-diverse park in Honduras. There are a multitude of trails through the park. I took one that starts at the Cangrejal River at Los Lobos and leads up to La Cascada trail, exiting at the Pico Bonito National Park visitor center. Another one at Pico Bonito Lodge. It’s an amazing park, can’t wait to go back a third time and explore other trails.

Awesome ferry, very comfortable, fast to travel and no loud music so you can talk easily. Even brought my motorcycle to Roatan for a fair price and it didn’t got a single scratch.

This botanical garden was originally an experimental center for tropical plants created by Dr. Wilson Popenoe in 1925. Today, it is the home to one of the most important collections of exotic plant species in Latin America, especially fruit trees and timber, which give the place a unique landscape. Lancetilla was named after a small palm, Astrocaryum standleyanum, which is native to the area. It is one of the most important gardens in America. Not visiting Lancetilla is not visiting Tela.
