If you’re into eating locally and supporting sustainable agriculture, go to Asheville—and eat, eat, eat. This town of less than 100,000 people has 17 farmers’ markets, and the local restaurant scene is all about taking advantage of the seasonal produce sold there. And don’t miss the area’s microbreweries.

We were fortunate to happen on a showing of "Fantastic Fungi" on our two day trip to Asheville. We love seeing films in this art theater. Even afternoon showings are always almost or totally full with a great audience that is very engaged--and the films are good. This was no exception. If you are in town, but sure to check out what is playing. It is right next door to the Blue Spiral Gallery, and lots of other galleries, restaurants etc. are just a short walk away.

Saw Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker for the second time at this theater. Matinee tickets were only $8. The concession stand has a good variety of snacks (vegan options too, including vegan butter on popcorn), beer, cider, and other locally made treats. Concession stand and lobby were decorated with action figures and other movie memorabilia which added to the fun vibe. Sound and image quality were great, seats were comfortable. Before the movie, they had some cute, funny, Star Wars themed videos playing. The people behind us talked through the movie, even when politely asked to please stop and were very rude. That was the only thing that detracted from our experience so I was glad I'd already seen the movie once, but that's not the theater's fault. Definitely recommend for a fun, comfortable, unique movie experience!

This is our theatre of choice in Asheville! It is smaller and more intimate...food is delicious! Customer service is top notch...especially from Shane at concessions!
