I am very lucky, to live within walking distance, lived in Ascot for over 32 years, but only discovered the internal tarmac track within Ascot race track - The Heath - only 2 years ago for walking the dogs. The circuit is 1.2 miles approx and with a little incline to make you work a little (cardio) and takes about 25 - 40 mins, depending on pace. Social distancing observed obviously. Recommended, lots of sky to take in and It gives you a mindful lift, in normal times coffee shops, eateries and bakers in High Street. Entrance through Ascot High Street and Winkfield Rd by Walkway tunnels under the grass track.

Royal Ascot started in 1711 and has become one of the most valuable races where the world’s best horses compete for a top prize of over £5million. The British Royal Family has very strong ties with Ascot and Queen Elizabeth II attends every year. The event attract over 300,000 people each year in the month of June and is renowned for its formal and strict dress code of a hat or headpieces and summer dress for ladies and a suit, shirt and tie for men which makes Royal Ascot a bit of a fashion event in its own right.

A privately owned, public pay and play parkland course, ideal for players of all levels. PGA Master Professional: David Johnson. Lessons available 7 days a week (including evenings)Driving Range: 25 covered bays, floodlit and open 09.00 - 22.30, 7 days a week (40 balls for £2.90)Other facilities include: golf shop, putting green, eight table snooker club, licensed sports bar.
I don't normally use the range at Lavender Park but my local range was closed due Covid-19 restrictions. Very impressed by the measures implemented here ( basket / touchscreen sanitised after each player, wipes and anti bacterial gel at the rear of each bay, empty bays to act as crossing points ). Clearly a lot of thought and effort undertaken by the staff to ensure the facilities can be used safely. Also nice to have the top tracer functionality. Good facilities, as a result I have visited several times recently, recommende

Went with our small group of walking friends for lunch after a walk around Ascot Heath. Great food, great staff, as usual. We had our lovely Christmas Lunch here in December 2020, so it was a must for our first pub lunch in 2021. We were all looking forward to it very much and they didn't disappoint. All our meals were delicious (especially the cheesy chips) and served on nice hot plates. Oh and the beer was excellent. Can recommend the calf's liver with onions (3 of us had this choice).

THE MOST WONDERFUL DAY We went to Lapland UK last weekend and it was absolutely fantastic. You receive text messages telling you exactly when to arrive and from the moment you do so everyone is in character! we were the second to last slot and everyone acted with as much enthusiasm as if it were their first shift of the day. The setting is amazing and they have gone to so much effort with the surroundings and set up. It looked truly magical. The actors in the workshops were superb and the children loved making the gingerbread with Mrs Claus and the toy in the toy factory was excellent. The elf village was brilliant and it really felt as though you could have been in the North Pole itself. There was so much going on behind the scenes that you could see that just added to the atmosphere. The food was amazing. Such a lot of thought has obviously gone into the menus and there was something for everyone to enjoy throughout our time there. It was really yummy too and well priced. The visit to the reindeer and Santa was just brilliant and he knew all about the children so it blew them away when he knew what parts they had just played in their school nativity! The toys were of great quality and the photo you receive was also great. The way they subtly give you the toys at the end was easy and not at all difficult with the children around. As you can tell we had the most super and magical time! We would definitely recommend to anyone to go! Simply amazing...

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Berystede. We felt totally safe and all the staff were amazing. The food was delicious and the chef made a special effort as I have a few dietary requirements. The room had been spring cleaned and the bed was really comfortable. Thank you to the manager Steve Lewis and all the staff for a fantastic time. I know some people may be apprehensive about staying in a hotel at the present time but I recommend staying at the Berystede, you will be well looked after.
