The highest hill fort in Sussex dates back about 5000 years and has a hugely varied part in history, predominantly as a defence location for the area and observation point in times of conflict. Now the hill is a wonderful ipart of the South Downs National Park and provides a haven for nature, with wild ponies, rare flora and a peaceful public leisure area for walking and hiking.

I made a small order on behalf of my partner who wanted to gift some chocolates for Christmas to my mother. The attention to detail in noticing the address and making sure that the gift was sent correctly to the right person was checked. I received an email minutes after the order was placed and 5 days before Christmas by Hayley Gardner-Clark Director/Owner of Castle Chocolates of Arundel Ltd. Noticing that they could deliver it by hand they made an exception and hand-delivered with an extra treat to compensate for the delivery costs. To summarize the review on the chocolate, my mother was over the moon like a greedy child in a chocolate store. (She loved them)

Stumbled across this wonderful book shop on a weekend trip to Bognor. Such a welcoming place - super friendly and helpful. Excellent treasure trove of books, spent ages just browsing before we finally chose! Will definitely be back.

Local Gallery that sells quality art and craft from 90% of local artists. Beautiful Coffee from £1.50 cake from £1.40 and soft drinks too! We have vegan, gluten free options. The gallery is dog friendly. We also sell Ice Cream made by local company Sussex Ice Cream Company. We also offer Art Courses, see gallery or Facebook Events for details.
Mostly local artists, with a great range of prices, and the exhibitions change monthly... Not intimidating at all to visit. Delicious locally made cakes, excellent Lavazza coffee, local tea from Hoogly and, for those with a sweet tooth, a Supersonic Hot Chocolate! Well worth a visit! Mike worked really hard during the pandemic with regular video tours of the gallery, lockdown deliveries and competitions, development of a website and regular social media updates. This is one local business that deserves to succeed.

Outside and inside this is a wonderful Cathedral Church, honouring St. Mary the Virgin and St. Philip Howard. It is full of the most amazing sculptures and memorials. The cathedral is not old (1873) so all of the architecture is crisp and clean, but it follows traditional designs and looks so.much like the cathedrals of Notre Dame or Mont Saint Michel on the outside. The special features to look out for are: The stations of the cross The tomb of Saint Philip the Martyr The stunning altars Fabulous stained glass windows, especially the circular west window Two 12th Century large carvings of 'The Raising of Lazarus' The Tapestry and altar drapes 16th Century paintings of the Kings of England and Wales

So much memorabilia in such a small museum, itself housed in an old pub. Brilliant resource centre and refreshments available. Will visit again when it reopens in spring.
