The Caucaus mountain range is simply amazing ...we visited it in Azerbaijan ,Georgia & Armenia....thick forest ,snow peaks in summer ,lot of hairpin bends makes it simply beautiful...a must visit place.

This monastery dates from the 13th century and is completely different from other Armenian monasteries. "Noravank" means "new", so this the the "New Monastery". On its first floor, the mausoleum of Prince Burtel Orbelian and his family. Right on its façade, a narrow stone-made staircase (very dangerous, I must say) leads to the upper floor and to "Surb Astvatsatsin", the "Holy Mother of God Church"! It is a major religious and cultural center in Armenia and its visit could be combined with the one to "Khor Virap Monastery", as both monasteries are not very far from each other. Enjoy!

Did a hike from Perz Lake to Gosh and the monastery. Amazing place to visit from there did a walk to Gosh lake. Tough to the top of the hill but amazing place to visit. Good for a picnic

This is a must visit place. It vividly captures the plight of Armenians living in Turkey during WW1, it gives perspective of current values of Armenia. It will leave you in a state of shock by the horror captured on film of the genocide.

Visiting Vagharshapat and its complex of churches, museums and ruins is absolutely a must at any trip to Armenia. You can start with the "Zvartnots Temple" - the ruins of the old church consecrated to "Saint Gregory the Illuminator" and now known as the "Cathedral of the Celestial Angels". Then visit two different churches devoted to two of the first martyrs of Christianity, "Saint Hripsime" and "Saint Gayane", both nuns and deeply venerated in Armenia. Then, visit the "Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin" complex, the seat of the "Catholicos of All Armenians" (the Pope of the Armenian Apostolic Church), with the "Cathedral of Echmiadzin", which is actually closed for renovations and will remain so until probably 2022. But you can visit its exteriors, gardens, other buildings and, principally, the "Alex and Marie Manoogian Treasury House Museum", which simply is the Treasury of the Armenian Apostolic Church, with its awesome collection of important religious objects. This collection includes the precious "Holy Spear" which, according to legends, is the spear that wounded Jesus Christ at the Crucifixion and was brought to Armenia by Saint Jude Thaddeus. Isn't that enough? If it isn't, just remember that the "Mother Sea of Holy Echmiadzin" complex, including the ruins of the "Temple of Zvartnots", are all Unesco's appointed "World Heritage Sites"! Enjoy!

The Memorial is located about 100 meters from the Genocide Museum. The Eternal Flame that glows within the centre of the 12 columns is poignant, beautifully understated within its surrounds, as such a Memorial to those victims of a genocide should be. Moving, thought-provoking and an important reminder of the past - unfortunately, not being heeded in today's worldwide society.

At Yerevan's "Kentron District", you will certainly get your attention caught by impressive gardens and an awesome building: this the "Cascade Complex", which houses the "Cafesjian Center for the Arts". An art museum in and around gardens, fountains and exhibition rooms. From "Tamanyan Street" and its pedestrian area, you can easily reach the museum, which is divided in two main sectors: the open-air "Cafesjian Sculpture Garden" and the "Cafesjian Art Galleries". At the external sculpture park and gardens, works by important international artists as Fernando Botero, Peter Woytuk, Joana Vasconcelos, Saraj Guha and many others. Inside the building, art galleries offering a wide variety of exhibitions, lectures, films, concerts, a library and other educational initiatives. After visiting the park, get inside the main building and take the indoor escalators up to the top floor. Take your time and start visiting the various galleries on your way down, Outside stairways provide awesome views of Yerevan and its "Kentron District". One last remark: right at the top of the "Cascade Complex", a part of the "Monument to 50 years of Soviet Armenia", as well of the "Aznavour Center", can be seen. Enjoy!

beautiful serene monastery. carving is lovely. definitely worth a trip. buried in the Armenian countryside. no noise or disturbances, just this hidden treasure.

Was in Armenia September 2019 walked in to republic square in Armenia several time and enjoyed very much at night the water show very colorful and enjoyed the music nice ambiance full of people and happiness in the air u should definitely visit republic square
