Wow, a lot more here than you might think from the carpark. Good displays with heaps of snakes, lizards and turtles. Outside there are large walk through bird aviaries with a large assortment of birds. Watch the dingoes cause one does seem to wait for kids to poke their fingers through the fence. Theres also a croc outside. We all enjoyed it and I would recommend it as an hours outing with family.

I've just got back from a fathers day gift session - courtesy of my wonderful children, with the jetpack adventure guys from Armadale and I have got to tell you - you have GOT to try this, its an absolute blast and I had a absolutely fantastic time. The guys that look after you are just brill, they take care of everything from your arrival to your departure and your safety is high on their list. Being 56 years young and a tad on the cuddly side I thought there's no way water jets are going to get this hunk of blubber our of the drink but boy was I in for a surprise, the guys had me out, up and flying in a heartbeat. It was absolutely fantastic and I never stopped laughing and grinning from getting kitted up ready to fly to getting showered to drive home. It was great to see a few other people ( male and female) having a go and ALL of them had a blast. You are given the choice of the jetpack, a jet board and soon to follow - a jet bike, so there is enough to entertain the most demanding adrenalin junkies out there. Everything is catered for from the jet kit, wetsuits, gloves, helmets which are linked to your tethered instructor via radio comms to the option of having a video of your fun packed flight for your family and friends to enjoy. It is so, so easy to recommend jetpack adventures to anyone from young to old as I know you would be well looked after by the guys and your satisfaction is pretty much guaranteed. If you book up and get cold feet, just call me and I would be more than happy to go in your place - no really I would:) Book up take your kids, your wife, partner, girlfriend - whoever and have yourself a fun packed time with the jetpack team, you would not regret it, promise!

Decided to go there one fine sunny day and took my Dogs along for a nice long walk. Now I have no issues with picking after my Dogs, nor do I have issues with keeping them on a leash. My Issue was the fact I was yelled at for allowing my thirsty pets down to the waters edge for a much needed drink. They were still on a leash. Two front paws in the water while they drink is NOT taking a swim. Shorty after some other Dog walkers informed me there is no place at all put aside anywhere where a Dog may run free or (Heaven Forbid) have any part of its body touching the water. I wont be returning.

Beautiful new park!
Great grassy areas and bbq/eating areas.
The robot head, and balancing logs were favourites for our 2 & 3 yr olds.
I was very concerned about the open edges on the platform, a big drop to the ground, quite scary for little ones, not that it bothered the kids. But i certainly wouldn't let them out of my sight just incase!
It seems to be unfinished as workers were still there last week when we visited, so im hoping these open edges are on the to do list.

Came there to get some ideas on what to do in the area. Can't say the staff was unfriendly, but the place came across as somehow strange. Didn't have a good idea of what to do when we left. Had a good selection of brochures...MoreDear HelmutZ, Thank you for your feedback of the Armadale Visitor Centre. We are glad that you found the brochure selection helpful. Great history of the area. Learned something new, was quite surprised. Might be something you like to see if you're in the nearby area.

This is apparently one of the highlights of Armadale.
And I must have picked the wrong day to visit because both historic buildings were closed when I visited on Monday.
The buildings are quite nice looking from the outside and they're set in a nice picturesque setting next to the lake.
Parking is free nearby although it can be difficult to find a spot as council buildings are also located here and the carpark was pretty full when I got there.
Maybe only visit if you're nearby.
