Laguna Torre

Reviewed By watergirls2 - Cardiff-by-the-Sea, United States

Beautiful scenery, the hike was relatively easy to moderate. Recommend this hike if you are in El Chaltan for a few days. Mount Fitz Roy hike was our favorite! As others have said, the weather is unpredictable and you may start out with sunny weather and by the time you get to the Laguna Torre or other destinations it can be clouded over. We were lucky with abnormally warm weather and mostly clear good weather; however, if you can plan to spend some time at Laguna Torre or Fitz Roy since the weather changes so quickly you will likely be rewarded with clear views at some point during the day!

Calle Defensa

Architectural landmarks in the city’s oldest neighborhood have been restored, and this revitalized area is distinctly artistic, with cafes, antique shops, cobblestone streets and lots of artists and dancers.

Loved staying in this historic part of Buenos Aires. The Sunday flea market is amazing, the restaurants, wine bars, tango displays, pop-up music events, gorgeous 19th century architecture, cobblestone streets, art galleries, unique local designer shops, this place has it all. And it even had a few restaurants open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day which was a nice surprise.

Costanera de Corrientes

We were in search of what defines the city of Corrientes and we found it along this pleasant walkway. That is, if you begin at the 100 meter Mural Wall on Calle San Juan, and walk along the Costanero spotting the various murals, down to the Puente General Manuel Belgrano, seeing its vast mural display below, and on to the mural wall at the Eva Peron Foundation. We saw many fishermen, lovers, families, etc along this route as we discovered many of the city's 60 murals.
