Osmeña peak is a good option for family and friends looking for a half day adventure. The place is accessible to all kinds of vehicles. Public transportation is also available.
The site has a trail and the hike is relatively easy. You don’t need special tools to enjoy this place. Photography enthusiasts will definitely enjoy the place. And also, this site offers a good view of a geological event transpired decades ago — you’ll see the fault line!
Best viewed early morning or late afternoon.

This monastery looks like it was built in medieval times -but it is only 20 years young. They permanently keep building more and more towers, gates and floors. I think it is interesting for people of all age groups. The filipions believe in miracles that happen after the visit in Sibonga. Anyways, I totally recommend to go there and see by yourself!

Our family was here a few hours ago to pray, a family member is about to leave to we decided to visit the place.
Discrimination from the guard at the gate was obvious.
The women in our group are wearing skirts BELOW the knee, blouses with sleeves . The men in our family, wearing pants and shirts and shoes.
At the gate, the guard refused entry to all females in our family and insisting we rent shawls to cover our legs. We refused to rent shawls because we know that our skirts are long enough to cover even half of our calves (we were there to pray and not take photos so we came prepared).
As we were refused entry for not renting shawls, the guard, granted entry to 3 young women wearing extremely short skirts while carrying their dogs to the monastery.
The other tourists (male) were granted entry and they were wearing boardshorts.
Extemely disappointed.

It’s my first time to visit this church and I love it.
It gets crowded in the afternoon and hard to find parking spaces.
Also make sure to allot more time as the traffic from Carcar to Sibonga is hilarious. It took us 2.5 hours going there and over 4 hours going back to Cebu city.

A great place to take great shots for photo addicts. Great spot to take a landscape picture of St. Michaels Church. Place has great wooden architecture and even has a mini museum in the second floor.

Unity Plaza is also known as Argao Plaza. It situates in the middle of everything: the St. Michael The Archangel Parish, the Argao Municipal Hall, Argao Hall of Justice, Argao Tourism Center, to name a few.

The municipality of Argao in South Cebu is home to many wonderful sights including Mahayahay Beach. For some reason it seems that many tourists never get past the hustle and bustle of Cebu City. However, Argao and the sights in the Mountains and Beaches really show you the real Philippines. The things you can see here are like the photos you see in books. Ceres Bus makes it an easy trip from the Cebu South Terminal, and when in Argao the transportation by tricycle or pedicab will get you anywhere. Talk to someone and take a trip into the Mountains. There are some breath taking views where you can see all of Argao proper as well as the sea and Bohol in the background.

We heard lots of stories about this cave...some are horror stories, others are risky adventures, etc. Old old stories said that this is the abode of a fairy named Maria Cacao? Not really sure if this is true? Our spelunking group (7 members) went to this cave to explore and see with our own eyes if those stories are true or not but nothing has been found. The cave is a huge tunnel with bats, boulder of rocks, etc. The stalactites and stalagmites are not impressive as what we expected.
According to some, this cave is dangerous. For us, the dangerous part is the trail going to the entrance of the cave. The cave itself is not dangerous. You need a rope to help you pass through this dangerous trail. Records in the past showed that someone fell and died down below the cliff. The structure of the cave entrance is like old falls with high cliff going down...probably hundreds or thousand years of ago.
How to get there? From Cebu City, ride a bus from Cebu South Bus Terminal (Ceres Bus) to Argao City. I think the fare is less 100 pesos (around 85 PHP). Upon reaching Argao, go to the Tourism Office for registration. Then, look for the guide. Usually, the guides are utility personnel of the municipal tourism working in the park. If you know somebody from Brgy. Conalum who guide you, much better. Please negotiate with the guide for the guide fee before you leave for the area.
From Argao City, hire a motor bike or habal-habal that will ferry your directly to Brgy. Conalum near the brgy center. Then pay a minimum permit fee at the brgy before you proceed to the cave. Please negotiate also with the haba-habal driver. Negotiate for the round trip because it is difficult to find a habal-habal from the area going back to Argao.
After Balay sa Agta, you can side trip in the Bugasok Falls...
Btw, don't forget to bring your helmets, flashlight or headlights - when you decide to go on spelunking.
