This is a must see if in Arcata and you enjoy the artistry of jewelry. Upon entering you are greeted by an assistant who offers to help you find something in particular or just wander and look at the great selection of products on display. They also offer you a coffee, cappucino or water...very welcoming!! There is an informative display and video showing the beginnings of this business, the processes used, materials used and you can observe the assembly and design areas. Each assembly station is personalized by the artist with pictures of family. This shows the values of this business. The artistry is unique and well worth the time to visit.

A beautiful 600-acre forest of small redwoods and ferns.
You could spend as short or long a time as you want meandering around the multiple connecting trails here. Gorgeous big trees and lots of stumps to climb and fallen trees to balance on to bring a little fun with kids. Dog friendly!

The saunas are authentic, meaning you can spray a hose on a pile of hot rocks and steam yourself like a lobster if you choose. There are upper benches if you want to work up an actual sweat, and there is a bucket you can fill with cold water and dump on your head.

Our little dog finds this to be one of her favorite beaches. She can swim in the river channel, and not have to deal with the ocean. The packed sand is easy to walk on. And for beginning surfers, the water is perfect.

Oldest continuously operating movie theater in the country. Beautiful wood work and much of the original building. Exceptionally friendly and informative staff. Theater No. 3 has only 29 seats, all with cushy seats and table service for food and drinks. Staff is there the minute you want something. Good sound system and fun place to see a good movie. A must see for those that appreciate history.
