A guided tour of the winery facilities in which, glass in hand, you will discover our family’s roots. You will learn about our philosophy of work in the vineyard, the selection of the grapes on a two phase sorting table and their vinification and ageing.You will visit the barrel cellar, tasting wines from different cooperages, and we will finish by tasting one of our aged wines.

Bodegas Balbas was founded in 1777 in La Horra (Burgos, Spain). We are a familiar cellar and nowadays are the sixth and the seventh generation of the Balbas family who rules it. Also, we are one of the 8 founder cellars of D.O. Ribera del Duero. We have different visit&tasting plans for you to choose from. You will walk throw the tanks room, our oak barrels tunnel, and taste the wines.

Our single vineyard estate offers the beauty and complexity of alluvial soils in the Duero River valley: gravel, sand, silt, and light clay. Our mature vines extract minerals that yield luxurious flavours and aromas. We offer several ranges of wines that convey the essence of our vineyard, history, family, and natural environment. Territorio Luthier is a paradise for wine lovers. We like to enjoy and to make the wine in a different way. We make small quantities of red, white and rose. All our wines are aged in wooden casks with different species of oak from France, Hungary even from Spain. Join us and taste the wines in our terrace, located in the peaceful forest wich sorrounds the winery.

The historic Don Carlos winery is an underground cellar from the 15th century located in the center of Aranda de Duero. They offer guided tours where they explain everything about this type of wineries. It is also a wine shop, with a large selection of wines from Ribera del Duero (small producers, Vega Sicilia, Pingus ...) They also offer a commented wine tasting. The winery is open for visits from Monday to Saturday: from 11 PM to 2 PM and from 5 PM to 8 PM. Private visits and other activities can be arranged upon request from Monday to Sunday. Aranda is the largest city in the wine region of Ribera del Duero, and is famous for its wines, roast lamb and its underground cellars. Most of them are privately owned and are not open to the public. The Don Carlos winery is an exception, it was restored by its owners and open to the public so that everyone can enjoy this particular construction so popular in Ribera's wine history.
