Far away from any sources of noise, its a beautiful location. Supported by ITDA, this property is beautiful located at the foothills of hillocks, surrounded by fields and plantations. There is a stream that runs adjacent. There are 8 hutments and all are of the same size with a queen sized bed. Good enough for a family of 3. You can request an extra mattress of you want. We went with a senior citizen and we comfortably managed. The food is prepared locally with ration brought from Araku. Road connectivity is good. One has to look out for the cut with a board on the right after Araku. Ask the locals for directions to Kollaput. The room itself is very basic with hot water and clean sheets. Language might be a barrier if you dont spk Telugu. But the people are good. No mobile network except BSNL.

The Coffee Museum in Araku Valley is a great place to drink coffee with friends and family, and also an encyclopedia with lively tableaux to explore the history of coffee. This describes the journey of coffee that started from Ethiopia to Europe and India through Chikmagalur in Karnataka, Nilgiri in Tamil Nadu and Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh. The wide menu of the coffee house has different types of coffee options according to your choice and pocket. You can taste the amazing filter coffee for just forty rupees. The chocolate store here has many varieties of chocolates, coffee beans and coffee powder. Apart from the history of coffee and the coffee itself, there are also entertainment facilities like Bungee Trampoline, Water Balloon Ride, Columbus Ride, Joy Bull Ride, Shooting etc. While on one hand you can enjoy pani puri, dosa and paavabhaji on the portable stalls that give an ethnic look, on the other hand there is also an option of a pizza café to enjoy pizza, buns and cookies.

Kothapally waterfalls are situated at 30 km distance from Paderu village and 45 km away from Lambasingi. It is located 60 km away from Araku. This is best waterfall available near Araku and must visit place. While going from Vizag to Araku we have reached via Kothavalasa and Srungavarapu Kota. Finally reached to Borra Caves spend their 2 hours and then reached to Araku on the same day and stayed night at Araku. While returning to Vizag we have chosen other route from Araku via Chaparai falls, Paderu and then went to Kothapally waterfalls from there we returned to Paderu from there reached to Vizag. This is the best way to cover all spots and reach back to Vizag with shortest distance. Special Attractions: 1. Strawberry forms near Waterfalls. 2. Coffee plantation near waterfalls. 3. Madugula Halva which generally made by traditional way without using Machines. Timings: Morning 06:00 to Evening 05:30 Entry Fee: 10 INR per person

In my opinion, this is the best place to visit in Araku, even more than the museums and the coffee plantation. The place is also called botanical gardens and has large number of trees and plants of various lineages. There is also a toy train which provides a complete round tour of the gardens. There is a nice statue of Shivji and Parvati Ma in the garden. One can easily walk around barefoot on the green lush lawns or enjoy the cool breeze in the shades.
