Now that the sound system is improved this is a wonderful place to see top rated performances. Weather it is Broad Way Series, Ballet, a Concert or even Alice Cooper this is the best place. Not a bad seat in the house - even in the cheapest seats. Easy in and out and parking.

The Hearthstone is a large, beautifully restored Queen Anne Victorian Style home built in 1882 by Henry J. Rogers, Superintendent of the Appleton Paper and Pulp Mill. On September 30, 1882, Hearthstone was the first house in the world to be lit by an Edison central hydroelectric power station. The house retains many unique, genuine features, including the original Thomas Edison electroliers and light switches. Appleton was one of the first three cities in the world to be lit by an Edison central power station, the other two being New York and London. This was all due to Mr. Rogers, who decided to invest in Edison’s power station in order to light two paper mills and his home. Since it became a museum in 1987, Hearthstone’s focus is to preserve the house and its artifacts to re-create a historical experience based on its Thomas A. Edison heritage for the cultural enjoyment and educational benefit of the public through its many exhibits and programs.
Just got back from Appleton, WI which is just delightful! An unexpected treat was a tour of the Hearthstone Historic House built in 1782. This gracious Victorian homes has been lovingly restored to enlighten visitors as to life with newfound electricity! The craftsmanship in this house is superb and a testament to an era gone by. Put this on your place of places to visit and top it off with diner at Carmella’s. Just a wonderful day!.

Our team will create the best entertainment experience in Wisconsin, so that every guest walks away with a smile and the desire to return!
We went to 1 ball game this year but it was a great one. We went with two grandkids from Pulaski. They were giving away things because it was the last home game. We are both retired and wanted to go to more games but we had a busy summer. We did make it to the Donald Driver game and had great seats. Fireworks were AWESOME.

Have only been here in winter and it is so beautiful. This year we did the candlelight ski/snowshoe and that was the best. The people here are so welcoming and helpful. The trails are very nice with a mix of open area and wooded area. Every time we have come, the parking lot looks full, but the trails were never crowded except during the evening walks. However, even then it was not bad and people on the trails were friendly. I had family who came with their grade school for a field trip and thought it was very nice. Highly recommend.

I was here for a special event and was really surprised by the quality of the stadium for this level of baseball. Seating options appeared great, nice site lines, lots of food and other amenities available. I'll definitely be headed back for a game some time!

The History Museum at the Castle presents award-winning local history as well as national exhibits through hands-on experiences that engage people of all ages. We're best known for our exceptional interactive Harry Houdini exhibit that reveals the magician's illusions. We also pay tribute to Pulitzer Prize winning author Edna Ferber, and put Sen. Joseph McCarthy into perspective.
We had both a step-on guide from this museum for a tour around Appleton and then a visit to the well preserved museum. It has three floors and several different exhibits. We saw a visiting Guitar exhibit, Houdini and vintage toys exhibit, model display of the city of Appleton with railroad cars running around it. The curator is Dustin and he did an excellent job for our bus group of 40 senior citizens! Thanks so much!
