The Memorial was dedicated in 1971 and was the first major Vietnam memorial in the United States. In 1987 Congress recognized the site as a memorial of national significance. Our visitor center features educational exhibits. The grounds are a peaceful and beautiful backdrop for the Chapel.
Take time while you are in Angel Fire to stop in and visit. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The views are beautiful. The memorials are very touching. Seeing photos and objects from the war made it more real. I liked that they had items that you could touch.

Angel Fire Resort is a year-round destination located in Northern New Mexico. In the winter, Angel Fire features skiing and snowboarding with a wide-variety of terrain on 560+ acres. Amenities include a ski & snowboard school, lodging options, tubing and dining facilities. After the snow melts, the resort features on of the premier downhill mountain bike parks in the country as well New Mexico's only zipline, an 18-hole golf course and more!
Sadly, Angel Fire hasn't seen much natural snow this year, BUT the snow that is made for the mountain is as good as man made snow can get. My boyfriend and I went with a group of friends (most of who have skied plenty of times) and we were beginners. I skied as a child, which didn't seem to count to me, so we took a class. I thought our instructor was very nice, funny, and knowledgeable. There were enough trails open - lack of snow in mind- for beginner skiers. Most employees were friendly and helpful, with the exception of the bartender at the bottom of the slopes, but people have bad days. The people working the lifts were helpful especially if you let them know you are new to the lifts and/or nervous. We had a great weekend and for it being a holiday weekend, it wasn't too busy. I would return, especially once they get more snow for more open trails. I found the shuttles to be very helpful when you are dragging lots of stuff up to the slopes. Also another thing I found helpful was the ski locks and storage options. Inside the ski rental place on the slopes you can keep your boots overnight for $5 or a bucket full of stuff for the day for $5 too. It sure beats lugging everything up and down and back and forth.

I had a great time fishing with Jeremy in his luxury pontoon. It was a gorgeous morning in Eagle nest lake with no wind and spectacular views. We caught one kokonee and many perch. What can I say, first class boat, first class lake and a first class guide. I can't wait to do it again.

I have used Roadrunner Tours on a few occasions. Nancy Burch and her staff do a really great job here at their Angel Fire location. I still believe they have locations in Red River and Eagle Nest but not positive? The horseback rides are never boring or dull. The seem to suit you well to the right horse. They offer snow sleigh rides in the winter months. They have been doing this for a very long time and have seemed to have the horse riding thing down. Simply put, a first class operation.

The Zipline Adventure Tour features 6 ziplines at the summit of Agua Fria Peak at 10,677 ft, high above the stunning Moreno Valley. Tours typically take 2-3 hours, and the ziplines vary from 120-1,600 ft in length. Reservations highly recommended. Aren't ready for the full tour? Try our Adrenaline Rush single zip offered 9am-3:30pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Holidays. No reservations needed.
Highly recommend the six station zipline tour while in Angel Fire. Our guides Kateland and Desi, were professional, entertaining, and always safety conscious. Short hikes between stations, but our small group finished in about two and a half hours. Reserve the early times, as weather and wind can come up suddenly, and zipping gets shut down.

Angel Fire Bike Park is the largest Bike Park in the Rocky Mountains and has been voted Best in the Southwest by MTBparks.com 3 years in a row! Come experience our 2,000+ vertical feet, 60+ miles of purpose built lift-served terrain featuring the best skinnies, jump lines, manicured flow and super chunk trails the United States has to offer.
We spent a week riding the trails of this bike park. It does not disappoint. With the ever changing weather patterns, exciting thunder storms and showers, the trails are new daily. They are professionally maintained by experts and they keep the trails running as safely as possible. This is probably not best described as a beginner bike park. But, for the skillful riders and those with a passion to learn, this bike park is so much fun and full of ever-changing variety. Follow our family adventures on my Instagram @laceysexson

Was told about the brew pub by folks at Pub and Grub (same owners) and the brews they are making are fantastic. Took my beer snob buddy who got his initiation and knowledge in Ft Collins Co and he was VERY impressed. My favorite is the Bada Bing Black IPA. The food is also excellent and great views of the mountains from the patio. A definite MUST while in Angel Fire!
