At the 2011 Census, it had a population of 52,419.

Art with a Heart is the Arts and Heritage Centre for the Community based in Altrincham (registered charity number 1159034). Delivering free events, exhibitions and workshops, there is always something for the family to do when visiting Altrincham. Heritage area includes maps of the Altrincham area dating from 1876, artefacts, transport and industry area. There is also an extensive range of local history books. There are regular art exhibitions and a resident artist who would be more than happy to discuss his latest project. The free Creative area is free to use during opening hours and once a month, Art with a Heart host free Craft and Chat sessions. Finally, before leaving visit the gift shop to purchase a memento of your visit. Funds from these sales are reinvested.

Beautiful winter garden with snowdrops early daffodils witchhazel and the most fabulous fragrant Daphne. Estate walks with deer and squirrels. Good for dogs on leads but sadly not in garden. Nice shop and 2 cafes with good choice of quality food whether hot meals snacks or cakes. Picnic area lake working mill. House closed for winter. Plenty of parking but can be busy at weekends

We visit here quite often. it's a lovely park to walk your dog's. There is plenty of open field and nice wooded areas to explore, a few free parking spaces to the right as you go through the entrance, a big pond, seating benches, etc. We and our dogs love it here.
