This small, charming shop offers exquisite items made by local artisans and companies at what we thought were quite reasonable prices. It is wonderful to find such beautiful things and to learn about them from an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and multilingual staff member. The shop is well worth a visit.

We stumbled onto Le Village De La Biere during our bike trip through the centre of Strasbourg. The small shop carries a wide variety of selected craftbeers from all over the globe. Many great defining beers such as (Belgian) Trappistes / Trappist beers. A section with US crafters also added to the experience. Many of which are among the finest small(er) breweries that established a name in the current beer scene. However, most of my attention went to the French craftbeer brewers. I already encountered many exquisite beers on my numerous trips to France and the craftbeer revolution seems to have strongly shot root in (wine country) France also. a Lot of great beers are the outcome. With Le Village De La Biere featuring many shelves of French beers, particularly crafters from the area, this immediately became my number one shop in France. No less than 2 complete section dedicated to local brewers, with impeccable great beers. Breweries like experimental Brasserie TAAL (check out their Smoked Chili and their IPA's), Bendorf (IPA + Amber are magnificent), Biére Perle (find their IPS and dark), and Matten Brasserie (awesome beers). All 4 examples of great beers and enhanced experiments. But there's a lot more I still have to pour out to taste. The shop owner isn't the most compelling, but once shown interest in his selection of featured beers, he will open up and gladly advice you the finest picks from the shelves. And... there's giftpacks for those at home to surprise....
