From the lookout, you can overlook Hudson River, and have a distant view of Tappan-Zee bridge. From there, I would highly recommend to take a little effort to hike the Giant Stairs trail to experience better and closer view. It is about 4.5 miles for the loop and takes around 2.5 hours. The parking lot at the lookout is usually busy.

usually heavily trafficked, Giants Stairs trail is the most challenging in Palisades. The trail steeply descends to the shore of Hudson River, and then lasts more than a mile over the Giant Stairs - a long section of huge boulders having tumbled from Palisades - before finally comes back up. We started hike right before a T-storm, so some web surface made Giant Stairs even more challenging and we had to scramble, sometimes with both hands. But the rewarding view made all the efforts worthwhile. The trail is a relatively short 4.5 miles. A good pair of hiking shoes/boots will help. Highly recommended.
