Few areas boast so many uninhabited Islands or the wealth of rare wildlife. Boat access is tolerated to all the Islands with the exception of Patatiri which is the main home of the endangered Mediterranean Monk Seal and where you need special permission. Elsewhere are fantastic secluded bays with good Meltemi protection and the chance of a sight of seals and dolphins. A special place. Take your rubbish home please.

I liked this place! It was busy but quiet (save a few people who believe everyone is interested in listening to their phone conversations but you get this almost everywhere these days). Pebbles like most of the Beaches on the island and crystal clear waters! Lovey snack bar, too!

Exquisite beach with the most wonderful restaurant owned and operated by the hospitable Nikos and Magda. Gorgeous property cared for with great attention and much love. My favorite beach on Alonnisos!

Just wow...this beach can blow your mind away. You are keep questioning yourself if you are in Greece or in an exotic Pacific destination. Sandy beach very friendly for children and for endless gaming with the waves!

It is a quiet beach where the red color of the rocks is mixed with the blue of the sea!! Amazing colors! There is a beach bar and the beach is organized (5€ the umbrella with 2 beach chairs)!

We've just returned from a short holiday to Alonissos and this was one of our favourite Beaches, we went before the season had fully begun so there was nothing open at that time, but it didn't spoil the experience, great snorkelling in crystal clear waters, should only improve once the tavernas are opened for business.

If you're interested in history and find yourself in Alonissos, this is absolutely a good museum! They have all kinds of artifacts and displays about the history of the island! Alonissos has an incredible history, from pirates and earthquakes to fishing and farming! Go check it out!

You won't find a sandy beach here - its pebble stone. But think about it in a positive way: you won't have sand everywhere. The water is crystal clear. Normally there are not too many tourists around.
Both restaurants (situated to the left and right of the beach) are worth a visit.

The bay of Tzortzi Gialos is an amazing area. The colors as you look from the top of the hill are fantastic! The beach it self is small, not organized without sun beds and umbrellas. Sandy inside with crystal waters no deep sea is the best for playing! We recommend this place!

MEGALI AMMOS (BIG SAND)
It is for most people the most isolated, interesting place on the north side of the island. However, it is neither big nor sandy. It is just the name of a region with wild natural beauty where you will find a few beautiful unspoiled Beaches. For some lovers of exploring virgin nature we recommend visiting this place. You can go there by jeep or motorbike because the road is rough, 5 km from Patitiri.
Set amongst both olive and pine trees this bay enjoys tranquility and seclusion. Pathways lead down to a a couple of private Beaches. This particular part of the island's undeveloped coastline is a fascinating area to discover with mask and snorkel.
All the area above the coast line is consisted of private properties and the owners are coming from other countries. It is not an area friendly for people that enjoy driving their cars or motos down to the sea looking for a parking area along the sea. No tavernas, no beach bars, no sun beds or obrellas. To find the easiest way to aproach this Beaches you better ask locals about. If you do not like walk go to a populate croudy beach along the south coast line.
