Allentown, is the largest of the three Pennsylvania cities that make up the Lehigh Valley. Formerly an industrial hub, Allentown is probably most well known as the subject of the eponymous Billy Joel song. The long history of Allentown has left it with an impressive architectural heritage that includes buildings such as the neo-Roman Art Museum, which contains a reconstructed room designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The city is also home to the Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom amusement park.

It’s hard to beat the combination of fabulous aromas from the chocolate and the fun and whimsical gifts on display at Josh Early Candies. The store is full of tempting treats from fresh nuts and hard candy to all sorts of creamy and chewy chocolate bliss. So whether you are into toffee or truffles, peanut butter or nonpareils you can tickle your nose with tempting aromas throughout the store while also feasting your eyes on fun, fuzzy stuffed animals and seasonal gifts. It’s a lot of fun for the whole family, but plan on being there awhile to take in the sites and to decide whether you want the cashew turtles or the creme filled eggs. We love shopping there and enjoying the treats but it’s hard to limit what you carry out the door. Enjoy your visit.
