We specifically put this on our itinerary for the end of one of our days in the Jasper area. It was a colder August in northern Alberta so it was perfect to head here after the sun set and our family of 5 enjoyed the warm hot springs to wind down before heading back to our hotel and head to bed. Easy to get in and out, busy but manageable, kids had a blast. Mountain goats in the parking lot licking the salt off our tires was an added adventure for the kids. We rented everything except suits which made it easier to come and go.

My wife & I missed out on the last couples massage so we went for a visit to the pools and saunas. It was wonderful. The Finnish sauna at 84oC sweat out the toxins and the plunge pool cooled everything down after. I’m not a great fan of hot pools but the steam rooms and saunas were great. Took a break and ate a cheese platter and a couple of pale ales before yet another 20 minutes in the eucalyptus steam room and 20 minutes in the Finnish spa and a quick cool down. Meanwhile my wife slept off her mimosas in one of the hammocks. Finished off with a s, shower and shave before heading back to Calgary for supper with the kids. We spent over five hours at Nordic spa and didn’t even notice the time passing.
