The 230 h Grand Park is located in the southern end of Tirana. it is a beautiful place to walk, stroll, bike, jog or run, depending on one's energy level! Regardless of your chosen activity, the park is a pleasant escape from the crowded city centre and a chance to enjoy fresh air, nature and tranquility.

This 13th-century fort includes a number of preserved Byzantine churches, including the 13th-century Church of St. Mary of Vllaherna and the 14th-century Church of the Holy Trinity.
Take a guide, worth it! An amazing living castle. People still live here, beautiful houses, businesses, souvenir shops, ruins, mosques etc. Beautiful view of the city. highly recommend!

Booked tour at the tourist center a day in advance. A 30min bumpy ride later and you have beautiful nature and a magical waterspring that is crystal blue! Wish we had more time to explore the surroundings and maybe eat by the water! Try to go early or else it will be quite crowded!

We went here on a very rainy day with two kids. Despite the rain they really had a great time! A huge castle where kids can roam and discover freely. And there is a lovely little cafe next to the museum in the old Venetian building in the centre of the castle keep, that hangs off the side of the cliff and has floor to ceiling windows with stunning views. Great toasted cheese sandwiches on a cold and wet day to warm us up!

Located just 15 mins from the centre of Tirana, “Dajti Ekspres” provides it’s visitors with an unforgettable experience. Take the 15 minute trip up Dajti Mountain on the longest cableway in the Balkans and enjoy the breathtaking views of the city. At the summit, relax and enjoy the surroundings, take a stroll and enjoy the view! Enjoy a hot or cold drink in our rotating bar/cafe, located on the 7th floor of the Dajti Tower Hotel. A 45 minute stay at the bar will ensure you get a full 360 degrees view of the beautiful surroundings, including the Dajti national park. Fancy a bite to eat? Head over to our on-site restaurant perched on the edge of the mountain! Serving both traditional & International cuisine, we're told that the food is great (we are currently rated 10th on Trip Advisor out of 300 restaurants in Tirana) but even we must admit, it's the panoramic view that is the main attraction, simply breathtaking! We look forward to welcoming you soon.
This 14 minute ride will provide you with wonderful views (given that you have a clear, sunny day!) of the city and surrounding wooded national park. We alighted ta the top, 3,445' above sea level. Leave enough time for lunch.

Along the whole lake, from Fierza to Koman, on a trip that lasts less than three hours, visitors can be amazed at the views they offer. Ferry trips or a smaller boat offer unrepresented pleasure, while the attraction itself is the villages of this area and the streams of some rivers flowing into the lakes. I can freely say that Koman Lake is one of the most beautiful places and most worth visiting in Albania. Staying in this area is an indescribable adventure. you can visit amazing, fairytale places, many of them unexplored before, which can be quite rightly called paradise on earth, such as the Shala River and the cave of this river,

If you really want to know the best model of local architecture in 19th century, a visit to Skenduli house is a must. Everything is totally original and is the most authentic building in Gjirokastra. This is the best preserved house in old city of Gjirokastra, more than 300 years old (built in 1823). The owner of the house, Nasip Skenduli, a descendant of the family that originally build the house, is an amazing story teller. He will explain you everything about the house and the preserving process in years. It used to be the original Ethnographic museum during communist time, but now the owners have their house back and keep it open for visitors. What makes this house so special? Its structure shows that this has been the richest houses in Gjirokastra, because it had 9 fireplaces, (more fireplaces more richer the family was); 6 bathrooms, 12 rooms, 44 doors, 64 windows, and 4 hamam (turkish bath). Many rooms are preserved in their original shape and this is amazing.
We took a great guided tour of this wealthy families home from 100-200 years ago (I forget the actual age). What a different way of life! The home is not occupied now.
