A museum brochure for the museum with a description of all the buildings can be found at al Tourist Information. The brochure also describes the other outdoor museums connected to Hallingdal Museum. My husband and I were camping in Al and decided to hike up to this museum. It was really interesting to see all the old farm buildings that were still preserved in their original style and interiors. The young man that was working that day took us into one of the houses and showed us around a bit. There's beautiful views of the Al area up there, as well. Definitely worth the trek!

We spent a Saturday in late August here and had a fantastic day of rafting with the great guys at Serious Fun! A great experience for the whole family! Marianne provided great help and service with a big smile, the guides from Zimbabwe were very experienced from many rivers around the world. They were nice, funny guys that made everyone feel comfortable and confident. Chris was our guide, and he was a really great guy! Busdriver/photographer/safety-guy Jacob was a blast, really spreading laughter and a good mood.
We can safely recommend Serious Fun for anyone who wish to experience the adventure of Whitewater Rafting!

Went as a family of 4 with two teenage girls. Had an fantastic time. We did the 2 hour trip with about 45 mins on the lake, which was a perfect length, any more and we would have been too cold.
The dogs are so keen and the sledding was very easy. Amazing views from the middle of the lake.

The route from Myrland via Bergsjo to Votndalsasen and on to Torpoasen is known as the northern Hallingdal route. The kiosk at Reine i open every day from winter holiday and until after Easter. It is toll road on the mountain road to Nysetlia. For more information regarding payment, you find this by the toll road.
