The Ajax Downs is in a very good location, not far from home, I went there approx. 5 times, very easy access. I enjoying goint out to have some fun gambling, but do not have to drive far. The restaurant at the downs is very nice, good food and I like the views from the restaurant. Busy on the weekends but overall experience is excellent.

5 stars for a place with just that good energy. I didn't know what to make of this place when I first walked in, but find just a very nice vibe in here. On a Friday or Saturday night they have a Live Band with DJ sets in between. Heads up the crowd ranges from 25 years olds to much older. But given the variance of age here everyone really seems to respect each other. I find this is just a great place where if you have your own energy or just want to go out and have a good time with no hassle a great place to be. You can have a drink and relax, you can dance on the dance floor, or you can comfortably people watch. People on the dancefloor range from older, younger, pretty good dancers, to downright silly (and you can get away with that here – no judgement). If you want a pretentious place or more of a club vibe, there are lots of those places that exist, and this is not for everyone. But if you are younger/older and just want a down to earth place where you can just enjoy yourself, let your hair out, you certainly can do that here. Good bar manager Johnny greets you at the door, good bouncers, DJ Ray does his thing in between live music sets (and can surprise you when he wants to). 4 corners of the world. Pick where You like and make sure to enjoy yourself wherever you go ????
