Get active at the fully equipped Genesis Place Recreation Centre. It features a six-lane 25-meter pool, a dive tank, a water slide, aquatic climbing wall, hot tub, a leisure pool with spray toys and a lazy river, a tot pool and a steam room. For dry land fitness, try out the twin indoor field houses, double gymnasiums and dance studio. The 14,000 sq. ft. fitness centre offers 30-plus drop-in fitness classes every week, a 200-meter indoor running track, 100-plus pieces of cardio and strength-training equipment, two weight-training Olympic platforms with bumper weights and 20 spin bikes. There’s also an outdoor athletic field with 1000-seat grandstand and 400-meter all-season running track along with twin NHL-size rinks.
My wife and I worked out mainly in the fitness area and track; our children also used the pool. I liked the variety of equipment represented in the fitness area. They have, more of less, 3 separate areas in which to work out. One as you enter the gym, another just inside/through the doors to enter the track area, and one more just around half way around the track. The track area and equipment are more open air (with a high ceiling) so feel fresher and cooler. Besides the gym , there is a complete pool area, hockey rink, and soccer field -- not to diminish all the other features of the rec centre. You have to go explore this place for yourself and see just what will fit your needs in this complex.

I will start by saying I have had several birthday parties here, as well as attended several & I have never been disappointed !!! We just recently had one again & they were overly extremely accomodating ...booking the party was very easy & well priced, the day of the party I call to ask to book an extra lane & was able to & during the party I realized I should've ordered more pizza & asked if I could still add another & they did!!!! Wonderful service & exceptional staff Will go again for sure!

Love this place. The staff are always happy and glad to have you i their place. I always get a coke and large popcorn. I don’t get the candy anymore due to health reasons. The theatre is always clean and the popcorn fresh and the drink as I like it with out out. Visit the theatre it’s a good place.
