I can't overstate how much I love Aibonito. It's a wonderful town full of great people, great places to hang out, and just ENJOY yourself. This place, however, stands apart. The Casa Museo is just that. Used to be the home of Puerto Rican statesman Federico Degetau at the turn of the 20th century and since then, it has had its ups and downs. Since the mid 80's, a local team of proud volunteers has led the restoration and upkeep of this self-sustained landmark 100% free of government funds or intervention. The house not only serves as a museum (which you should definitely take the tour) but also as an atypical event or meeting venue which, I'm sure, your attendees will never forget. Love this place, and a huge kudos to Guelo and his team for keeping our history safe within those walls for the next generations to appreciate.
