Quaint dairy farm that has both cow and goat milk products. The goat gouda was surprisingly delightful. Found gouda caraway cumin cheese (a dutch delight) and tasty brie. They have a selection of products brought in to compliment their lines. A nice stop on your way to Harrison Lake.

Hemlocks coffee is a hidden gem that is just a hop and skip away from Harrison lake. It is a local favourite that serves premium Italian espresso / coffee where you least expect in a small town. Their pastry and homestyle breakfast and lunch selection is warms the stomach and the service is refreshing when visiting from the city. I recommend the “Apple Turnovers” if you happen to drop in on a Friday morning before they’re sold out. Make this one of your stops between Harrison & Hope.

We come here as much as we could. Our favourites: pies, danishes, sausage rolls. We stopped in here to see what items they sell about a year ago. Once we tried, we're hooked. Every time we drive by Pioneer Ave, we stop in to buy. They also have hot soup to go.

Sasquatch Mountain Resort is a small ski resort located in the Douglas Ranges near Harrison Lake, British Columbia, Canada, between the towns of Mission and Agassiz. Average annual snowfall at Hemlock Valley is 30-35 ft more than most other areas in Canada. The vertical drop is 396 m (1,300 ft) from a summit elevation of 1,371 m (4,500 ft) to a base elevation of 975m (3,300 ft). The area comprises 121 hectares (300 acres) and has 36 runs, the longest of which is 1.4 miles (2.3 km). The area has four lifts - one quad chair, one triple chair, one double chair and a beginner carpet. The resort features night skiing and tubing as well as 13 kilometres of trails for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing.
We are Diamond and Double Diamond skiiers, that often ski with beginners, this review is to cover all levels, Getting to Sasquatch mtn, formerly Hemlock. Check google maps for route, and DriveBC site first to check road condition. The last part of the drive is a Steep logging road, last 11 k are gravel, switchbacks, no guard rails, slide prone areas, pot holes get big enough to bottom out an average car. The road is usually continually graded, with snow, rain, melt and freeze it is impossible to keep it up. Wouldent drive a car up more than a couple of times a year depending on the road and weather conditions which changes hourly. Yes hourly. Truck is the best choice to drive up and down, then Suv 2nd choice, car last. We have all 3 and almost never take the car. This is a special designated logging road you must carry chains in all vehicles including 4x4 with snow tires. Saying that have never been checked in 2 years and can almost always make it up with 4x4 as long as no one stops infront of you when the road is snow covered, which very often happens. Almost all front wheel drive vehicles can not make it up without chains if there is fresh snow on the last 13 kms climb to the hill. Skiing is mountain weather dependant, like any mountain, we have had some amazing powder days and some wet rain days as the base is fairly low. The hills proximity to the ocean is close enough to effect the weather being warmer than most mountains this size with a little more rain. We have skiied all over north America. With nice snow all mountains have something to offer. The west coast mountains from the rockies to the pacific just have a lot more of everything on a larger scale. Try it on the right day you may really Enjoy it, we sure do. Runs are a great mix for all, fantastic to learn with a carpet lift and a beginner chair. Dont expect to ski directly onto all of the black diamonds from either peak. Some require a short uphill hike usually 5-20 minutes depending on your fitness level. Old school lodge, super clean washrooms, well kept, good "lodge food" choices, nice pub, prices are fair, nice ski rental,
