Beerenberg Farm is a "must visit" for all food lovers visiting the Adelaide Hills. One of Australia's oldest family-owned jam, condiment and sauce producers, it is now run by the sixth generation of the Paech family on their Hahndorf farm. Open all year round, 7 days a week (except Christmas Day), the farm shop is open 9am to 5pm. Enjoy a leisurely browse through the complete collection of farm-made products in the delightful farm shop. During strawberry season (November to April), bring the family and pick your own strawberries from 9am to last field entry at 4.15pm. Patch entry is $5.00 per adult (13 years and under are free). Strawberries you pick are then weighed and are $10.95/kg.
We visted the farm on a beautiful morning not long after opening and was already getting busy. We had some great family time picking in the strawberry patch and filled a few tubs. They taste so sweet and fresh. The visitors shop is full of good things. The only thing we think that is missing is a cafe. Imagine being able to sit and have scones, strawberry jam and cream with a coffee or tea, i think this would be very popular and was something we thought would be there. Loved our visit.

Two ‘grown ups’ and loads of animals to pet, play with, feed and relax. Great fun for all ages and, being an oldie of 50, loved feeding the lambs and being jumped on for food by the goats. Why not sit and relax with the guinea pigs or feed a roo?

We have been to Lennane Orchards twice now . Its only $5 entry for Adults . Amazing backdrop & Scenery of the picturesque Adelaide Hills . They supply a large bucket with a plastic liner & you pick your own cherries . Beautiful Quality , & Natural straight from the tree ! A fantastic family day out . Very steep terrain But they have numerous 4WD Kabota 10 seat jeeps that take you to the top of the hill & the row of cherry's for picking . You then pick your cherry's on the way down the hill. They take you back to the car park , for weighing your cherry's & pay for what you picked ! About $10 a kilo . Approximately Half the price of the shop ! & they are fresh , natural & straight from the tree ! Ensure to wear appropriate shoes & a hat ! This is a family run business , they friendly & accommodating ! Please Do Not Make A Pig ! Of Yourself ! Its OK to sample ! But you see many foreigners ! eating them ! Flat Out ! Be Honest ! " Go Cherry Picking " NOT "Cherry Pigging" They are a hard working , Family owned business , trying to make a living , like every one else ! So Don't Be A Big Fat Pig ! Pay for what you pick ! We got a huge bucket full ! about 5 kilo's ! for $50 Less than half the cost in the shop ! You cant get fresher Or more natural ! Plus a great Family Day Out ! They have a Cafe & BBQ for afterwards .
