The statue of William Wallace has him in the battle garb of his era - chainmail armor, tunic, 2-handed claighmor sword. Almost all of the movie Braveheart is factually wrong, this statue helps correct that - kilts were introduced some 2 centuries after Wallace died, and face paint had gone out at least a half millennium earlier. The nice thing is you can swing by the statue and in 5 or 10 minutes be on your way to your next stop.
