We visited on a sunny day. It's a coastal location, and was very windy. I think there is supposed to be a spectacular view of some coral grass if we had arrived at the right time of the year. Unfortunately, we were not there at the right season. The lighthouse is apparently famous for having appeared in several movies and commercials. It is quite captivating against the blue skies. Made for some nice photos.

This place is my 4th place i visited in this city and also 3rd museum that i had visited. This place is so unique i say with just ±750 yen you can know about everything. and i so interesting with -20 degrees celcius room. And also dont forget to see this place from the top cause the view from the top is so wonderful. ありがとう

Went to the chipmunk park on a bad weather day. Wasn’t sure if I was able to see them. But quite glad that they didn’t disappoint! Such adorable creatures darting all around. Some daring ones climb onto my lap!

This event is held at Abashiri Commercial Port Wharf in February, which is the peak time for drift ice to come close to the waterfront from the Sea of Okhotsk. Highlights include the main snow sculptures based on selected themes related to Hokkaido, such as historic buildings and Ainu folklore, and the various ice and snow sculptures created by groups of ordinary citizens and volunteers. There are also plenty of events, including traditional dances, fireworks displays, and the Okhotsk drift ice ring toss. Visitors can also enjoy shopping and sampling the foods at the Mikakukan and Bussankan.
