On a short break in Weymouth came across the Red Lion. Sheltering from the rain popped in one lunchtime for a quick pint. Lovely pub, not massive inside though plenty of tables outside, good staff, great ambience with good ale kept at the right temperature. After looking at the menu, thought going to come back one evening for dinner. Even better, food amazing, good ale again and, again a lovely atmosphere. Also importantly no t.vs. or gaming machines. In short if i had a pub it would be just like the Red Lion!

This pub about 200 meters from edge of Bagwell Farm camping park. Very warm welcome and locals friendly. It does not look much from the outside and when you walk in looks like the working mans club from my home town. BUT it is relaxed and friendly and although a limited menu it does offers excellent value for money and honest food .

We were staying in the adjoining Premier Inn for one night and didn't fancy going into town for dinner so we went into Beefeater. We haven't had wonderful experiences at other branches of this chain but we were tired and hungry and this was handy. We had already decided what we fancied to eat before we sat down so we were amazed to see both our dishes on the daytime saver menu at £5 and we were still early enough to take advantage of it. We upgraded both meals and they still cost almost £5 less than the same dishes off the main menu. We finished off with desserts from the same menu at £2.49 and also had a pretty nice bottle of red wine at £12.99. Everything we had was delicious and represented excellent value for money. With the money we saved from not going into town we rounded our evening off with some really good and also well priced large gins (Hendricks our favourite). We would happily return to this restaurant and won't be so worried about dining in Beefeater again.

The whole idea of the George Bar and Grill is to create a relaxed environment without dropping standards when it comes to the quality of our food or bar. We are really proud of the excellent rapport our staff build with our customers and the service they
We much enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the bar. The lunch we had was okay, but neither of us is a fan of doorstep sandwiches and although the bread was nice, sometimes you just want a sandwich with normal sized slices. Very obliging staff.

We are a family friendly seaside sports pub. We follow the ethos of great home cooked food. As well showing the sky sports and BT sports on our 10 screens we also showcase the best live bands and performers from across the whole of Dorset.
Had a fantastico night here on a Tuesday.... They do 5 different steak meals buy a second for £1, so for 6 hungry golfers a cracking deal, and you get to cook the meal yourself with hot stones.... Fantastic value, can't speak highly enough... Need to book to guarentee a table... Staff v good, and a top selection of beers.... Great night...

Arrived on spec on Saturday evening and welcomed heartily. The four of us wanted only a simple meal - one course, but three gave in and had a lovely pud too! Really good value meal and the best chunky chips ever. Will definitely visit again next time we're at East Fleet Farm caravan site.

We, at our National British Pie Award winning Handmade Pie & Ale House are setting out to create the most premium of pies and to serve the most traditional, tastiest constantly changing ales, of which we always have some local and some from various parts
Have always said that we would visit this restaurant for the last year and upon hearing it will be shutting down we thought we would come before it closes.Great atmosphere and friendly staff. All the pies on the menu sounded really good but eventually opted for the valentineâs one. What a great choice. It was stunning. My god were we all stuffed. Struggled to finish it but it was too good to leave. May I add that we were a party of 5 and they accommodated us despite not having a reservation so thank you for that. The score of four is because we had ordered mozzarella sticks which came with no mozzarella but the issue was quickly resolved. The bill was asked for twice when eventually one of us went to the bar to pay. That did not put is off though, the whole meal was brilliant and hopefully we can return before they shut.

Although apparently serving all day Sunday Lunch is available at 12, 2, 4 or 6.On the positive side good choice of meats that tasted fine. Less so the vegetables âalthough a good selection they were, in my view, not very tasty. Possibly over cooked or spent too long in the warming trays?Building could do with a little care and attention.

We popped in for lunch just wanted something smallish. I fancied a brie & bacon pannini they didn't have one on the menu but happily made me on in a white baguette (would have liked brown) . My husband had a burger. The portions are big, bacon wasn't crispy v fatty & burger was very average just lots of chips. The food is homemade and staff are lovely, but I do think they could get better quality ingredients to match the price they charge. It feels like a dark bingo hall inside, bit dingy.
