The chocolate shake. That is all. Wait, and the ice cream cakes. And bring home a giant tub of sprinkles.

A little piece of Ireland in historic downtown Westminster, Maryland. We serve both Irish and american flared dishes. The atmosphere is one that makes you feel that you have been transported across the ocean and landed you in the Irish country side. During the warmer months we offer al fresco dining on our two decks overlooking downtown Westminster. On the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays you can enjoy a traditional Irish jam session in the pub area from 8pm-10pm.
We went here out of curiosity after having driven by the place for years. There are so many options, some with names that require an explanation, but its all good! So glad these folks decided to add an Irish restaurant to Westminster! Great food , Great beer, Great service! that says it all!

Birdies is the spot for a good cup of coffee and a bite to eat. It can get crowded sometime which will back the kitchen up but everyone is friendly and accommodating. I always return here.

Classic Chesapeake fare in a cozy casual environment. Nestled on Main Street in Downtown Historic Westminster, MD
I am a seafood junkie and this place does seafood well. Simple, sophisticated, creative, traditional choices. Great soups, salads, chicken and beef. Oysters on the half shell from all over, macncheese with lobster, crab and scallops, salmon BLT and baked potato salad. My friends and family love the beef and chicken dishes but I am a seafood junkie. Great bar and happy hour.

The holiday season can be so exhaustive for all of us and this year was no exception. I wanted to plan a relaxing outing for myself and my dearest friend and discovered Gypsy's Tearoom online. I made a reservation for us to attend the Candlelight Dessert Tea and it was just what we needed to feel the spirit of the season. From the moment we pulled up we were delighted. Charming Christmas lights peered from the windows and made the historic house all the more magical. The tea was amazing, the cuisine and tea pairing were perfectly thought out to the smallest detail. I honestly cannot say which menu serving was my favorite because as we progressed through each course, it was tastier than the one served before. If I thought a dessert tea would be just a lite treat, I had to think again. The portions were more than generous and I actually had to leave a little on my plate at the end! The final touch of sorbet was an unexpected palate pleaser. The young ladies who waited on us were so friendly and the atmosphere was warm and relaxing. A quick trip through the well stocked gift shop allowed me to find an extra stocking stuffer or two to take home. I can truly say by the end of the evening my best friend and I were relaxed, festive, and had received everything we had "wished" for. The both of us will be back again soon... no need to wait for Christmas once a year... we can have Christmas joy year-round at Gypsy's Tearoom!

Busy, cheerfully, even boisterously but not offensively noisy on an otherwise normal Tuesday evening. We only saw one or two people on their smart phones, o/wise conversation, mostly well-behaved children. Busy but not stressed (apparently) dining room staff.
A chain restaurant, simple food properly and excellently prepared. Hamburger steak (called Road Kill on their menu) asked for and received medium-rare, hot and crispy french fries, fresh and crunchy house salad, all moderately priced. Good bar with a variety of draft beer. We had bottled IPA.
Highly recommended, one of the best of it's kind.
10% discount if you stay at the adjacent Day's Inn.
Disclaimer: I am not a Texas Roadhouse employee and have no commercial connection with them.

Papa Joe's is my hands-down favorite Mexican restaurant! The chips and salsa are always a good start. Kick it up a notch with their delicious guacamole. Everything on the menu is great, and you can't go wrong with the basics like tacos burritos, enchiladas, etc. Today it was fish tacos. A generous order of 4 that my wife and I split. Get them Mexican style with cabbage (not lettuce), crispy radishes (they are amazing), and a green cilantro sauce that will blow you away! Enjoy!

The Thai food tends to be sweeter than other Thai restaurants that I've visited in other towns, but I think that has to do with the tastes of the local population. I still think the food here is pretty tasty, even if it's not quite traditional. Sometimes I find that there is a language barrier with the servers, but I usually am able to get what I want.
