Our Vid Pollinn restaurant has a fantastic view of Isafjordur. It is located at Hotel Isafjordur, Silfurtorgi 2. We serve local food, both seafood and meat dishes.
While in Isafjordur, Iceland (Aug 13, 2018), we had lunch at the Vid Pollinn located inside the Hotel Isafjordur. The service and food were delicious.Because this was one of those once in a lifetime moments I chose to have Vigur Puffin while my less adventurous spouse chose chicken. Both were very good and neither of us was disappointed with our choices. If you are every in Isafjordur, try this restaurant, you wonât be disappointed.

A cosy little cafe in Ãsafjördur town centre that serves delicious homemade meals and fresh sourdough bread everyday. There are always vegetarian and vegan options available, both savoury and sweet, and plenty of hot or cold drinks for all ages. A lovely
We came across this charming place accidentally and thoroughly enjoyed it. They offer open sandwiches, vegetarian or vegan, which taste incredible. I particularly liked the one with vegan basil mayo, adding a nice flavor to the bread. They also offer cakes and excellent coffee using high quality beans. The couple running the place are locals from Isafjordur, which makes it a nice stop for us tourists hearing some local stories.

We traveled for a month in Iceland and this was the worst meal we had. The fish of the day just wasn't fresh and in addition, it was not well cooked. Service was hit or miss. We waited a fairly long time for anyone to acknowledge us, but after finally ordering, the food came so quickly we hadn't received either water or bread which we then had to request. The restaurant was full of customers. Maybe they took advantage of us because we were tourists.

Stopped here for lunch and loved it. Bar type menu with chicken wings, burgers, pizza, fish & chips and great soups. Lots of locals eating here which indicates how good it is. We all had something different; wings, fish soup, fish & chips, and lamb. All of it was very good.

Tjoruhusið is a fish restaurant in Isafjorður, Iceland. We only serve whatever's fresh out of the ocean on a given day, so there's no menu to speak of, but during high season we usually offer a buffet of everything good for dinner, while lunch tends to be
Wow! Us three girls on a road trip around Iceland were feeling pretty chilled, intimidated by the landscape and the beautiful but desolate roads in between campgrounds when we came into town looking for the campground in the dark. Pam went into this place to ask for directions and ran back to our camper to tell us this was dinner. So fantastic was the buffet of fresh fish and salads and hot soup. We had a bottle of red wine and were given a brenivan after dinner. The service was great, the fresh fish, better, and what a welcoming, cozy place to have a meal after a day on the road. Totally worth it, even if you are watching your pennies for the most part in expensive Iceland, splurge on this! I have forgotten our hostâs name, but he was so helpful and friendly that he deserves a mention for sure.
