Hotel Isafjordur is a three-star comfortable hotel in the center of Isafjordur. Thirty-five rooms are standard size and one deluxe. Restaurant Vid Pollinn is on the ground floor.
Everything was perfect. The food was very good. The rooms were good and the bed very comfortable. The service perfect, i have never had so good service. It us in the heart of Ísafjörður, near the pool and the shops. I will stay there next time I travel to Ísafjörður.

Fantastic hotel - great setting, near the end of the road in the east of the Westfjords. Eva and her family were so hospitable and went out of their way to help us, especially with car trouble. Cosy surroundings with great food also!

Hótel Laugarhóll is a peaceful and comfortable rustic country hotel in the east part of the Westfjords. It is located in the green and sparsely populated valley Bjarnarfjördur, midway between Reykjavík and Ísafjördur. We have 16 double rooms, 11 with private bathrooms, and a comfortable living room with free internet access.
This hotel has a number of plus points - friendly staff, good food, nice pool. The rooms are reasonably comfortable, but starting to show their age a bit (eg sanitary fittings). Incidentally, I agree with marts03 on removal of shoes. This is something the establishment might want to rethink.

Fisherman is your travel partner if you like food & travel. We offer hotel, delicacy seafood and guided tours in Westfjords free of charge for all of our hotel guests. We are at 66°N in Sudureyri, a small and environmentally friendly village where everything is about fish. This is your chance to hear about live at the edge of the Arctic Circle! See for yourself how our thriving community processes Iceland's finest fish and get a fresh taste of it whilst listening to local stories. Learn why Iceland's first class export product can be on your domestic dinner plate just 36 hours after leaving the ice-cold Atlantic Ocean water, and just how unbelievably sustainable we operate. Pay us a visit.
Rooms are clean, but a bit tired, shower is a connector in the bath, etc. Welcome was really nice, it's not really a hotel, more a bar/restaurant with rooms above and opposite. Service top and engaging, food was excellent...catch of the day was delicious. Relaxed atmosphere.

The guesthouse is just by the road (the road has just minor traffic) and the ocean. So the view is breathtaking. The rooms are small but very clean with comfortable beds. Shared bathroom. The place has a very friendly atmosphere most due to the owner who has a good sense of humour. The area is very nice and just next to the guesthouse is a outdoor swimmingpool who should be rated as the best view in iceland from a pool. And yes there is a hot pot which warms up with natural hotwater from the ground. If I ever go back to the Westfjords I will definitely stay here again. Only minus would be that the isolation out in the hallway is not so good so if there is noisy guests one will get disturbed.

The 2 of us stayed 3 nights at Hótel Flókalundur with our 9y grandson. We made daytrips in the vicinity and visited Rauðasandur, Patreksfjörður, Bíldudalur and Selárdalur. A whole wing has recently been added to and our room was in the new wing. The room was very spacious and clean. Since we were traveling with a child they offered a matrasse on the floor incl breakfast at an extra cost of 4000 per night so all in all the overnight stay for the 3 of us incl breakfast was around 27.000ISK which is very good for the quality of this place. The person that cleaned the room took care enough to leave the childs bed in a very kind way of arranging the teddy bears in a new way every day. The food was good. Breakfast very nice buffet style where you could make waffles. Dinner menu is good too with proper food and also pizzas and burgers although I rather recommend the proper food over the fast one. To get there we took the ferry from Stykkishólmur and drove Barðaströnd on the way back. This place is only 4 hours drive from Reykjavík and certainly worth the visit. Located in the place where Iceland supposedly got its name.

Beautiful views everywhere you turn here. The location feels very remote, even though it's just off the main road. And while it is a little far from town, Ísafjörður, the main town in the region, isn't too far away and has everything you need. (Flateryi, the closest town, didn't have anything open when we drove through.) Our room was great - very spacious compared to other accommodations we've had in Iceland. Nice bathroom, too, and it seems like every room would have a nice view.

Hotel Horn opened in 2013. It has 24 rooms on two levels. On the first floor is the lobby and breakfast lounge. All rooms have flat screen TVs, shower and toilettes.
The hotel was pretty much of a standard to be expected in this part of Iceland. We had to check in at Hotel Torg down the street. Our hotel was totally unstaffed and we had a code to enter the building, Breakfast was also served at the other hotel and so there were NO amenities in our building at all. The room was comfortable and we had a corner room with a view of the main area of the town. Plenty of parking behind the building which made it convenient.

After a long and stunning drive through the Westfjords it's amazing tot discover a restaurant in this remote place. A small but delicious menu served by friendly staff with a good sence of humour. From the restaurant you overlook the daily catch of fish coming in, which creates a somewhat surrealistic environment. We would recommend this restaurant.
