It was an excellent pleasure to be there. Food and drinks were perfect, included an excellent service. The price range is ok. You get a big portion, and you will never leave as hungry. The stuff is very nice, family atmosphere and perfect service. I can just recommend !

...When I turned pages of Madyar Csarda menu. 1 page of starters looks like anywhere, but I turned the page!Soup chapter was already teasing for someone who anglers his rod, puts kilometers of line onto rear and washes his flies at least weekly. So, I recommend Hungarian catfish soup, and, I am sure, I will repeat the recipe at home.Next chapter was for chicken only, another - for goose, special chapter for goose liver...and so on. If even Michelin-abandoned pork got a chapter, what then for beef and venison? Both, beefeaters and wild gamers will enjoy these pages, as well as food.To me visiting Madyar Charda was like that reading pages turned into gedonistic joy of life - the true and real reason to escape from Budapest and 5* hotel!P. S. Nice interiors and cosy terrase. Limited choice of wines.Thank - koszonom - you, chef!

Have used this place many times.English menus supplied, on two occations I have returned the fries (chips) as they were reheated and rock hard (no excuses) so I always ask for fresh.Overall the food is very good and surroundings nice, staff on the whole good also prices good,portions good.
