The staff was very friendly and helped us with everything we needed. The fish was delicious. The accommodation was really nice and comfortable. There were even buffalos and antilopes next to us. But don’t be afraid - the staff will always make sure that you’re safe ;)

This was my fifth stay here and the most disappointing. After the lockdown, it is in need of some tender care and attention. When we arrived the bar/restaurant area was littered with plastic bottles, cigarette ends and bottle tops. Funnily enough the following day it was cleared up and the staff were wearing face masks, I understood the owner was visiting. If there is a manager it is not apparent. The only saving grace is the food is excellent accepting that in such an outpost the menu is limited. Appreciating that they are coming out of a very difficult period there are some basic things they could do to make you feel welcome but the feeling is that anything will do.

Our Family Christmas Holiday was amazing with an excellent wild experience at Engiri Game Lodge & Campsite. The staff Gift, Linet, Simon, Sharon and Mike gave us a true hospitality service you would like to experience. We had great meals and the chef was quite excellent for the FB option we had. We opted for the Camping tents which were comfortable, neat and of great experience. From the restaurant we could view a heard of Elephants nearby. We had great campfire which was cut short by the rains. Having Wireless internet was quite great however only accessible at the main building and was frequently interrupted. We had sports amenities with us and as such the camping area had great space for mini sports activities like soccer and badminton. The greatest experience was our second night when a heard of elephants visited and was feeding at our camp area, the Night guards Simon and Mike frequently engaged them for close to 3 hours as they came close to our tents. We look forward to yet another camping experience at Engiri Game Lodge & Campsite.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Kazinga Wilderness Camp. Everything at the facility was awesome. The Beds were comfortable, the cottages were amazing just made out of wood and we loved how it blends with nature. The Major Highlight was the bush breakfast they prepared for us on day 2. It was a romantic one and we thought. We loved it! The meals were tasty and well served and presented. Thanks to Wildfriends Africa Safaris for booking for us a nice lodge for our honeymoon. We highly recommend it.

Kasenyi Safari Camp is strategically located on the rim of lake Bunyampaka in the Kasenyi savannah of Queen Elizabeth National Park. The camp has an elevated dining structure that is meticulously thatched. The tents are on platforms with a thatched canopy roof. There are four tents all with en-suite bathrooms, spacious living areas & private decks. Many animals frequent the camp during day & at night. Lion prides, hippo, leopard, buffalo, elephant, waterbuck, kob, hyena & wart hog are frequently seen. The night comes alive with sounds of hyenas howling & lions roaring.
When you arrive you meet this very beautiful lady named Ruth who welcomes you and fulfills every wish while you stay in the camp. She is the soul of this lodge. Thank you so much. The owner of the camp- Philip- is not just a lookalike of Morgan Freeman, he is also an expert and friend of hyenas and gave us an unexpected gift and was doing a nightdrive.

Karungi Camp is the intersection of locals & curious travellers, of wild forests & comfortable beds, of good food & great conversation, of feeling at home in a new community while escaping the ordinary & discovering your Uganda. At Karungi Camp, we believe that travel, & life, should be an escape from the ordinary and an opportunity to truly connect with the people, places and cultures around us
Karungi camp was our absolute favorite place in Uganda! It’s beautifully situated, the rooms are cosy&clean, the staff is really friendly ánd you get the opportunity to interact with the local community while staying there. There’s a wonderful garden where basically all the food that is served, is grown. There’s lots of birds and a great shower. There’s beautiful hikes with panoramic views of the volcanos and various community experiences that can easily be organized during your stay. We’d highly recommend staying there for at least 2 or 3 full days so you get the chance to dive into local Ugandan culture and the lush surroundings of Karungi Camp. Seeing the mountain gorillas was a breathtaking experience, but just being at Karungi Camp was one of the highlights that stood out most to us as well.

Great welcome. Good food and very friendly and helpful staff. This accommodation is supporting a local community project to improve relationships between communities living beside QE Park and the Park authorities. Amazing project and extremely nice staff! We also had a delicious dinner there.

If you want western plumbing, wifi in your room and cute folded napkins on the table at dinnertime - go somewhere else (and pay a lot more!) If you're happy to bath with a bucket of hot water heated over a fire and to sit by a campfire eating grilled freshly-caught lake fish while Hippos grunt in the dark around you - you are an adventurer and you will love this wild place. I stayed here for two nights as part of a short trip to Q.Elizabeth National Park with owner Denis . It was at the peak of the rainy season - a rough time for safari - but the simple en suite bungalows were dry and comfortable, the food amazing (lots of incredibly delicous fish with some of the best roast potatos I have ever tasted). Denis seems to know everyone in the area and every little backroad through the park; despite the heavy rains we successfully navigated the muddy, flooded tracks (we did get stuck once) and enjoyed a wealth of wildlife in the park including Lions and a Leopard. The Guesthouse is right by the lake and borders the park - plenty of wildlife around here too - Waterbuck stroll around and at night Hippos graze the grassy open area (bring a flashlight!). As a birdwatcher I especially enjoyed the rich variety of birs here and even picked up a real rarity (a Capped Wheatear) which had not been observed in Uganda since over 50 years (it was hopping around just outside my bungalow!). A great place, a real taste of the wild, not for the pampered or the faint-hearted.
