We had a really excellent time in SAPPHYR Lounge. The manager Mr. Rumesh was very welcoming and comprehensive person. We asked if it could be possible to have a late lunch early dinner from the Capital Grill restaurant and he invited their Chef to take an order. The service by Angelo, Hasun and Lakruwan was excellent. Later we were having some tea with a lovely setting. Thank you to Shangrila wonderful staff!

On the 19th of October 2017, I purchased a âCoffeeâ cake from your outlet at Castle Street. This was taken to my office & all the staff members who ate it complained of a moldy, kerosene taste & the peanuts used in it has gone a rancid. Then we realized that the cake was to expire on the next day (20th). I called the outlet & they asked us to bring it over. The sales person in the first place said that he is unable to accept a return since it will be deducted from his salary. Then I requested him to eat it & see. He said that the cake was all right & the âKeroseneâ taste was the normal taste of the âCoffeeâ cake. We requested to speak to a higher authority to make a complaint & we were given the number of one âPathmanathanâ who was supposed to be the production manager. First he asked us to handover the cake to an outlet in Maradana, & when we refused he said that he will send somebody over to collect it from the outlet & to leave the cake with the salesman. He also agreed to test it from their lab & get back to us the next day by 10 am. I never received the promised call the next day & the several calls we took went unanswered as well. On Monday (23rd) he answered the call & said there was nothing wrong with the cake & that our accusations were bogus. To date I have purchased more than 10 cakes from the same outlet. Furthermore, we purchased breakfast for our office trip from the same outlet. The handling of a complaint from a regular client is deplorable & I advise everybody not to patronize this place hereafter.

It is a hipster place in design, but really nice. I love the menu ordered across tablet, also love the cakes and teas on the table/vitrines. The serving of the teas we taste was beautiful and the teas also. The cakes was delicious, too. Hello! Thanks for your review.
