The restaurant is tucked away behind the Dutch Hospital Precinct in Fort, Colombo. Went with friends last week to try something new. This place has been around for a while but we had never visited. Not disappointed at all. Good decor, efficient service and good food reasonably priced. Our Crab was served with toasted crusty bread, and a coconut symbol. (A traditional sri Lanka's dish with grated coconut, green and red chillies, lime juice and Maldive fish). Everything was very flavoursome and enjoyable as well as plentiful. Shall visit again.

Being cricket fans, expected quality innings by two cricketing greats. Had heard a lot about this restaurant but ......Booked almost 4 weeks in advance for 930 slot prior to arriving on a week long trip on our last night in Colombo. We were promptly ushered to a shared âCaptains tableâ. There was no prior information that we will be sharing a table with strangers. When pointed out that we had booked a table for three, we were given a table outside in a corner of smoking area.Staff pushed us to order as quickly as we were given the menus. We had seen this menu online in advance and knew it would be pricey. That had built our expectations for an experience to remember. In reality the options on printed menu were limited. Not everything listed on the menu was available on the day. Crabs and prawns were just ok. Chicken teriyaki was actually grilled chicken on a cold plate with no additional sides. Best bit was bread when dipped in sauce / marinade for two crab dishes we had ordered.As we were eating, staff started packing up around us. They started closing windows of the main hall and putting chairs away on tables around us.At just about 10pm we were told we cannot order anything else as the kitchen was closing down. We were expecting it to be highlight experience of our trip. Less I say the better it is. I donât mind paying for good food and night to remember in a beautiful city. We felt short changed on this occasion. I hope this is only a blip. For Sanga & Mahela: We still remain your fans but your staff need a lesson in public relations. They were polite but in a hurry to close down. Not a word of apology or regret for substandard food. Only had take-out from here and delivery but the food is always very good and fresh! The sweet potato fries are a MUST HAVE as if the Red Curry. Anyone visiting Colombo should seriously consider taking time to make a reservation at Seafish Restaurant. From arrival everything proved that this restaurant is one which has perfected itself over the years. A warm welcome awaited me, a great glass of wine wine quickly served while the extensive menu was perused. With help[ from the staff, I ordered a crab dish - a good decision. Service was attentive throughout. This place is well worth cancelling other arrangements for.

It was surprising how quality the food was as compared with the very reasonable prices. The ambiance was so inviting and humble with a romantic touch.
