Firstly I would like to say I love the Cinnamon Grand Hotel but the breakfast service in the Taprobane is really letting you down we had to ask multiple times for tea and coffee the restaurant kept running out of glasses, juice station was not open, the table was set was missing napkins and cutlery, these are simple hospitality deeds which should be in place. Note this was over 2 days

We really like this restaurant, it has a wonderful ambience, great staff and fantastic food. HOWEVER whilst they have an elegant pianist to provide a soothing background, right next door to this wonderful fine dining restaurant is the ballroom. The frequent weddings held there provide such bad, disruptive noise pollution, it ruins the experience. On the last two occasions we visited this restaurant the heavy bass noise from speakers situated just on the other side of the wall were so loud, it was ridiculous. We forgave it on the first occasion because it was not so bad, but on our most recent visit it was amplified to an unacceptable standard. We complained but received a very âcannot so anything about itâ response which was annoying when you are spending so much money. Because of this we will never go back to this nice- but expensive - restaurant. It is quite thoughtless of management to permit this. Such a shame....

Our name reflects the powerful connection between the unequaled collection of ingredients in our country that's at the heart of our restaurant and exceptional skill of our F& B and Culinary teams to capture the true essence of natures textures and tastes.
Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning, good selection of drinks including some boozy coffee. The food was mainly cereal and eggs with one Sri Lankan option. It was very well executed and at a very good price point. Attentive and unobtrusive service and very nice ambience.

Epicure brings new depth and elegance to dining in Colombo, infusing exquisite European and bold Asian flavours in its cuisine
We were not too impressed by the quality of food that was served, Though the host / manager was excellent. The food was served in record quick time and we were done in less than 70 minutes for a three course meal. A bit over rated.

Anyone visiting Colombo should seriously consider taking time to make a reservation at Seafish Restaurant. From arrival everything proved that this restaurant is one which has perfected itself over the years. A warm welcome awaited me, a great glass of wine wine quickly served while the extensive menu was perused. With help[ from the staff, I ordered a crab dish - a good decision. Service was attentive throughout. This place is well worth cancelling other arrangements for.

Accessible directly from the hotel lobby, the Sapphyr Lounge is bathed in natural Sri Lankan sunlight through floor to ceiling windows. From savoury pastries, featuring exotic fillings, served as they come hot from the oven, to crispy fresh puffs and sand
We had a really excellent time in SAPPHYR Lounge. The manager Mr. Rumesh was very welcoming and comprehensive person. We asked if it could be possible to have a late lunch early dinner from the Capital Grill restaurant and he invited their Chef to take an order. The service by Angelo, Hasun and Lakruwan was excellent. Later we were having some tea with a lovely setting. Thank you to Shangrila wonderful staff!

I must say that the refurbished Hilton is definitely architecturally far more pleasing than expected, especially the lobby area and what is now called the Graze Kitchen, formerly the Spices Restaurant. The renovation definitely took the jaded furnishing up a notch in the Graze Kitchen. The good news is that the beautiful pond is still visible from inside. The food is placed in a pleasing display and is a blend of Asian, Fusion and Western, with an abundance of choice. The new eating nooks give a sense of privacy which I liked very much. I believe it caters to most palates. It certainly has a good ambience with subdued lighting and attentive staff. I would ask anyone to try it out!
