Reviews on Pub food in Stavanger, Western Norway, Norway. With about 120,000 people, Stavanger is Norway’s fourth-largest city and a fascinating mix of old and new. Its history stretches back deep into the Middle Ages. Stavanger was once a tranquil coastal market town and then later an important fishing port. But it was the 1969 discovery of oil offshore that forever changed the now bustling city’s fortunes and landscape. Don’t miss the well-preserved old town (Gamle Stavanger), the unique Canning Museum or the 12th-century Stavanger Cathedral.

We actually came here twice during our stay in Stavanger. The Pizza is good, however on our second visit, after waiting for about 40 minutes for our pizza, when we asked a waiter where it was, it turned out they had forgot to put our order in to the kitchen. When the pizza finally arrived we were happy to learn that it was on the house. There is clearly a lot of room for improvement at No. 28.

Excellent soup! Took a coffee with the soup, Saturday morning. Nice atmosphere, lovely decor, high ceiling, airy, low-key music, quiet, plenty of room. Did I mention the soup? Cheerful, chatty, welcoming staff, worth a visit! By the way, did I mention the excellent cauliflower soup? Worth a trip just for that! Using that famous line, "I'll be back!"

After a survey of the places on the harbour this is likely the nicest but the service is slllooooowww. Nice variety of local beers on tap. Great patio with heaters under the tables with blankets for those who feel the Norwegian damp chill. Can only comment on the onion rings in the food category. They are good but a very small serving.Great view inside and out

n eclectic little adventure in the center of Stavanger city center for those who want an uneven dining experience outside of the ordinary Authentic finger food / street food with flavors from New Orleans to Vietnam One place that is one must visit
This is a review for takeaway, so canât say anything about the service or atmosphere. We ordered sharing ribs, 4 bao buns, and crispy chicken balls for my husband and I and our toddler. It was much smaller portions than we were expecting for 600,-. The flavors were good. My son and I enjoyed the food but my husband was irritated because he was hungry.

If you enjoy cocktails, then this place is a must ! its an absolute surprise to taste these flavours. The guys here are top notch innovative. They blend in local ingredients and spirits like acquavitt in the most imaginative ways possible. I enjoyed one with acquavitt, whisky, beetroot juice and citrus and egg white and what not! Ask the bartender for his favourites - you wont be disappointed!

I've visited Cirkus twice in the last two weeks, both times with large groups of colleagues (12 or more) and both times we had a great experience which has become quite the norm on our visits.Friendly, attentive staff behind the bar really make it great, and their 199NOK planks (5 x 1/3 pint) are really the best deal in the city as far as I'm concerned and really allow you to try from the best of what they have on offer.Cozy, comfortable seating on the inside, and wonderfully heated patio area that even in the cold you sit comfortably without a coat or jacket.Great beer selection, different strokes for different folks.Small selection of cakes and little bites available as well, but still have yet to try any.
