From the bustling charm of Galway City to the rugged, otherworldly Burren, Western Ireland offers a wonderful wealth of experiences. Exuberant Galway, City of Tribes, packs summers with festivals and packs pubs with locals and visitors. Westport is another charismatic town, full of colorful shopfronts, pubs and great restaurants. The near lunar landscape of the Burren delights with its unexpected flora. Dont miss its Stone Age burial monuments, fishing village Ballyvaughan or cheerful Lisdoonvarna.

We stayed for two nights in August. It was a great location, clean with lovely staff but the noise from other rooms was significant and this was mid-week Covid time, so wouldn't want to stay during busy times.

Loud noises all through the night so it’s very difficult to sleep since the beds are also VERY small. No AC and no fan of any sort in the room to be cooled off. Laying on the bed made for a hard back when trying to relax. No complimentary anything…just an old outdated hotel. Will never recommend as a comfort stay. JJ was really nice though. Oh they clean the rooms with a LARGE amount of bleach so don’t get there right at check in time or you’ll be sick.

Consigliatissimo.

Just back from a 3 night stay at Gordon's Guesthouse and what an amazing experience we've had yet again. This was our second visit with Caroline and there will definitely be a third. Caroline never disappoints us with her hospitality. We had the best food, all freshly cooked and served with a big smile. The rooms were spotless, comfortable beds and the only way I can describe is it's like home away from home. So looking forward to returning for one of her Tapas nights very soon.

The Dolphin Hotel is a small Boutique Hotel situated in the picturesque Crossmolina Village, just outside Ballina in North Mayo along the Wild Atlantic Way. The Hotel features Mulherns Bar & Restaurant, serving Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner. It has a function room that can accomodate functions up to 250 people and as small as 50.
Having stayed in Ballina for years for work & still not found a hotel I would go back to regularly I decided to try the Dolphin hotel in Crossmolina village. From ringing & booking to the reception I received was lovely so warming & friendly. The room although slightly small for my liking was spotlessly clean & very modern with nice fresh towels & linen. Heating was self operated which was great as it was freezing outside!. No tea or coffee making facilities but available downstairs. Dinner was superb, chicken cedar salad & salmon with a large glass of vino & quality of food & service was brilliant. Great menu with specials & prices good too. Can’t wait to go back & highly recommend. Thank you Mary for looking after me & keep up the good work all. ?

We slept for a night in this cosy B&B along the way of our trip around Ireland. The owners of the facility were very kind and warmly welcoming. The whole building and the rooms were clean and well-kept. Delicious irish breakfast prepared by the owner who also asked for preferences, allergies or intolerances. If we had more time it was worth to stay for at least a few nights more.

We returned to Bofin to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Loved our stay at Days. Great hospitality, lovely food, clean modern rooms. Perfect. The bar is part of the hotel/B&B and also serves tasty dinners, with friendly staff. Won't leave it as long next time for a visit!

The Red Cottage & Stables is a luxury boutique guesthouse located in Sligo. Set in the heart of the Yeats Country, just 2km from Sligo town, it is the perfect base to explore the County.
Arrived later in the evening as coming from work quite far away. Got an irritated telephone call when we were about 10 mins away. Arrived and made feel really unwelcome and he was unfriendly saying check in ended half an hour ago. We apologised as had not seen it anywhere online, didn't matter and felt very uncomfortable. Asked if we wanted breakfast and we asked could we have a minute between ourselves just to decide and was told no needed to answer right now. Thought we had been booked for one of the stable rooms outside but led to one of the bedrooms in the house. Made to feel unwelcome like we were putting people out and not paying guests. Booked and paid for two nights but left after one

Recently spent a weekend here with my family - our third visit - and once again cannot fault the service. The staff here really can't do enough for you, they bend over backwards to make sure guests are comfortable and are great with people with challenging needs. It really feels like you've make friends with everyone involved. The rooms are comfortable and the location, on the grounds of Donamon Castle, is lovely. There was a community event on while we were there and it was great to see so many families come along to enjoy the live music and various stalls and other events. Once again, the food in the restaurant (which I believe is open to non-residents) was top class, served in a pleasant atmosphere and the staff don't ever seem put out by special requests. The bar area is large and there's entertainment laid on regularly. My mum was brilliantly looked after and really enjoyed her weekend. Thanks to all concerned once again.
