Couldnât recommend this restaurant highly enough. Paul was an amazing host. The menu is vast & provides so many options, Paul was happy to help the group of us choose our meals, adapting dishes for our preferences. Great cocktails & delicious guacamole platter to start!!! The food was incredible, steak cooked to perfection, amazing seafood pasta dishes, fresh salmon (amazing mash!) and delicious curry with a huge portion of rice. For such a varied menu, each dish exceeded our expectations. Every âFeâ chain around Atitlan is owned by Paul and having experienced restaurant Fe on San Marcos I would visit another Fe without hesitation. Thanks for a great evening Paul!

I first contact JC Bakery for as a wedding planner in need of a delicious wedding cake. After an exhaustive search for a good tasting cake, I was about to give up and attempt something myself. Delicious cakes are hard to find here at Lake Atitlan. The following day, Juan Carlos of JC Bakery personally delivered 6 beautiful options of cake samples for me to chose from. It was difficult to decide because they were all so moist, brimming with flavor and beautifully decorated. I called a friend to help me and he was equally impressed at the cake selection and taste. Juan Carlos was hired on the spot. He came to the home of the wedding, completed assembly of the layered wedding cake and even helped decorate the key lime pies to match the wedding cake style. He was professional, on time and very helpful to the success of the wedding day. I also referred Juan Carlos and his team to my friend who was getting married. Not only did JC Bakery create a magical Mayan wedding cake, but they also catered the entire wedding event. Once again, I was impressed and grateful to Juan Carlos and his team for making my friends wedding a beautiful event to be remembered for years to come. My advice is to save yourself time and just contact JC Bakery from the start of your event planning. It would have saved me days of searching and maybe I would not have gained 5 lbs eating bad cake before I found JC Bakery.thank you so Much Tamila.

My family and I had lunch at Paris Paris while in Panajachel and had a very nice experience. The service was great and the fish and beef dishes were excellent. In addition, the asparagus soup was excellent!

Had a good night out at Pana Rock as we enjoyed the live music and happy hour drinks. Ended up having breakfast here the day after (needed quick wifi) and that was rather disappointing. Took a long time and food itself was only so so. Conclusion; great for a night out but eat somewhere else.

This was an amazing surprise for us. We stopped by for a late breakfast and we found this place on the road back to the city. And what a surprised it was. The quality of the food is very good. The Beans. Oâ¦â¦â¦. the black beans, where something spectacular. The way they do the scramble eggs is on a sort of grill, a local grill that gives the food a special very tasteful flavor. And the coffee. Well, this was a good fresh coffee we had. Love it. The waiter was very attentive to us and the food came out fast. The place was packed all the time. At the time we visited this place, locals came in and out from this restaurant. We paid at the cashiers. When asked for local information, she gave us many recommendations on what to-do, where to. She was surprisingly nice. I will come back to this place any time.

I went to Hotel Atitlan for drinks and dinner. The bartender was attentive and the drink menu is extensive. The dinner menu consists of Guatemalan and international dishes, so travelers from all over should be able to find something suitable to eat. Wonderful dessert menu to top it all off! Guatemala is not known for its cuisine, but this restaurant makes up for it with top-notch service, a beautiful view, nice ambiance, and a good selection.

The best view of the lake, volcanos and the all mountains. And now with new italian food menu. Delicious pizzas and wood horno. Made home fettuccine and raviolis.
My family & I had the opportunity to have lunch at El Gran Mirador Restaurant on Oct. 9, 2014. The view was unbelievable, the food was excellent & the service was great. 4 "STARS" until I received the bill. I paid with American Express Credomatic (they had a large sign saying they accepted American Express Credomatic). When I got back my receipt I noticed I was charged an 8% fee for paying with a credit card. I stated that in the past as well as during this vacation I had never been to any business in Guatemala that added this credit card fee. I then offered then to pay with USD but was immediately informed that their would be a 10% additional charge to accept USD. I left the bill as paid with American Express. To my surprise, when reviewing the bill later, I discovered that the original bill for 341 Quetzals actually added up to only 310 Quetzals. The amounts in question are insignificant - the problem is that it took away from a good experience and replaced it with one of displeasure..
