Built in 1929 to reflect the spirit of 18th century Venice, Casa Labia is the former Muizenberg residence of Count and Countess Natale Labia. Cucina Labia occupies the ground floor and outside areas of Casa Labia. Many parts of the restaurant have views o
Our Wine Appreciation Group enjoyed a most delicious lunch in Cucina Labia's Drawing Room. The tables were set out immaculately, the food was well prepared and beautifully presented and the ambience exceptional..I could not fault any aspect of our visit. The Manageress, Lydia, was kind and considerate and bent over backwards to accommodate all our needs. The service was excellent.Full marks Cucina Labia - this praise is well-deserved.

Having read the very good reviews for this restaurant, myself and a group of 5 friends had dinner here on a Saturday evening. As the prices were what one would expect to pay in an upmarket restaurant, our expectations were high. The maitre d raved about the mussel starter - which we all had. It reminded me of those frozen crumbed mussels one finds in the freezer section of any supermarket. We complained that they were greasy and the only comment we got was "I'll tell chef. It was not mentioned again. The kingklip at R180 wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. There didn't seem to be any effort at presentation and as the plate was rather small the food was just unceremoniously plonked on it. I got the distinct impression that this was an amateur cook rather than a trained chef. The dessert was nice but certainly not fine dining.I would not rush back to this restaurant . R700 per couple excluding wine

Food is very good an well priced.Place is small and crowded and it was difficult to get a table as it is very popular. We found it very noisy and it was difficult tp have a conversation. Hi Andrea'sThank's you for your review, glad you enjoyed the food. We are busy working on the soundproofing, it can get too loud in the restaurant. All the Best! The Olympia Team

We found the establishment to be on the shabby side but perhaps that is the intent - service and welcome was poor and the food very average poorly constructed fare. Ambience just on a street overlooking a railway line - disappointing offering and the coffee poor.

We were visiting South Africa and were having a tour of the area by friends who live in nearby Llandudno, when we all felt it was coffee time. So we decided on The Hub. We had a very pleasant greeting from the staff, who were quite happy for us to just have a coffee. So we spent a pleasant half hour in this great cafe and have to say that I would certainly return again, especially for the great welcome given by the staff! Thanks so much for your review - we really appreciate our guests taking the time to write! We hope you enjoyed your visit to SA and that you will come back again soon!Warm regardsNatasha & The Village Hub team

Friends and I decided on this restaurant primarily because its menu was small. I am always assured that a small menu means the chef can use fresh ingredients and prepare each meal carefully. We were not disappointed..beautifully presented..fresh delicately flavoured food and a sophisticated menu. The service was impeccable and the chef engaging. This small place deserves to be packed. I will recommend this place and plan to return. a great experience all round.Dear LouiseWhat a fabulous review - thank you so much. We are really pleased that you have recognised what we are wanting to achieve. Fresh, lovely ingredients, prepared with passion and beautifully presented. :)We look forward to seeing you again soon.Kind regardsAnita
